I have Kaspersky Rescue CD included in the Grub4dos menu of my Win8pe SE. It starts, shows 2 windows and hangs.

A burned Rescue CD works.

In the menu.lst the Kaspersky is called with

 

title Kaspersky Rettungs CD
find --set-root --ignore-floppies /Boot/IMG/kav_rescue_10.iso
map /Boot/IMG/kav_rescue_10.iso (hd32) || map --mem /Boot/IMG/kav_rescue_10.iso (hd32)
map --hook
root (hd32)
chainloader (hd32)

(or HOW was it made?)

 

(it cannot possibly work)

 

If you had searched a bit on the board, you would have easily found what the possible issues are.

thank's for your answer. You are right, before asking better search in the board-sorry.

The menu.lst was created by the Winbuilder of Win8pe_SE and I found it in the root of the finished USB stick. It did'nt work.

But the modified menu.lst entry explained in http://reboot.pro/to...e-disk-updated/ solved my problem.

In addition to Kaspersky I included in the winbuilder the Bitdefender Rescue CD. It does'nt start either. So I will ask the

community again for help. Searching in the board found no entry for Bitdefender!
