It blocks the download, unless the AV is desactivated, of course I know it is a false positive.

@ wimb
Thanks for new version.
I found today on both programs v44 menu.lst a (0xff) omission, and it is also present on both v45.
On menu.lst this iftitle says:
iftitle [if exist (hd0,0)/grubfm_multiarch.iso] Grub2 File Manager of a1ive - (hd0,0)/grubfm_multiarch.iso map --mem (hd0,0)/grubfm_multiarch.iso map --hook chainloader (0xff)
And should say:
iftitle [if exist (hd0,0)/grubfm_multiarch.iso] Grub2 File Manager of a1ive - (hd0,0)/grubfm_multiarch.iso map --mem (hd0,0)/grubfm_multiarch.iso (0xff) map --hook chainloader (0xff)

Update USB_FORMAT-50 and UEFI_MULTI-50
- Added: 7-zip Compressed writable files with ext3 filesystem in subfolders of folder images
- Update of Manual Win10_Install.pdf
No need to use Make_Ext Or AIO Creator anymore to make writable files for booting Linux with persistence
After using USB_FORMAT with Mint UEFI Grub2 support (addon is not needed)
- Copy and Rename Linux ISO files to folder images on USB as indicated in Manual
- On USB drive in corresponding Linux subfolder of folder images
Expand the 7-zip file to 500 MB writable file for persistence support
Preferred is Kali Linux 64-bit Live for Administrator tasks (forensic tasks and password cracking and wireshark)
For general Office Tasks then Linux Mint Cinnamon is preferred
Adding Linux ISO with persistence support to USB has never been so easy ....

Just tested UEFI_MULTI v5.1
Used it yo re-create the 7 GB FAT-32 partition of a 32 GB USB device after formating it.
Selected Super UEFI, all files/folders were created fine, latter used it to create new entries for the ISO, WIM and VHD files, all entries for them were created fine on MBR BCD and menu.lst, also on UEFI BCD, G4E menu.lst and grub.cfg
I have a suggestion to make a little change on G4E menu.lst:
Delete this current two entries:
title Win10XPE - (hd3,1)/Win10XPE/Win10XPE_x64.ISO
map (hd3,1)/Win10XPE/Win10XPE_x64.ISO (0xff)
chainloader (0xff)
title Win10XPE - Find Win10XPE/Win10XPE_x64.ISO
find --set-root /Win10XPE/Win10XPE_x64.ISO
map /Win10XPE/Win10XPE_x64.ISO (0xff)
chainloader (0xff)
I guess it is your current location for that ISO, but I think this entry makes more sense.
title Win10XPE - Find images/Win10XPE_x64.ISO
find --set-root /images/Win10XPE_x64.ISO
map /images/Win10XPE_x64.ISO (0xff)
chainloader (0xff)
As Win10XPE_x64.ISO is ran from that location by MBR menu_Win_ISO.lst
I made the change manually and it worked fine.
Ramboot from grub2:
Mini8x64.vhd (2.3 GB 2 partitions) and Mini-10x64-2004-2.vhd (2.3 GB 2 partitions) both from VHD-USB folder on U-NTFS.
And Mini-10-UEFI-WB.vhd (1.1 GB 2 partitions) from WB folder on U-NTFS.
All booted fine
Ramboot from UEFI grub4dos:
Mini8x64.vhd (2.3 GB 2 partitions) and Mini-10x64-2004-2.vhd (2.3 GB 2 partitions) both from VHD-USB folder on U-NTFS. >>> Fail
And Mini-10-UEFI-WB.vhd (1.1 GB 2 partitions) from WB folder on U-NTFS >>> booted fine
With the first two I got a very fast message: Not enough memory or something with same meaning and screen returned inmediately to grub2 menu.
Funny thing is they Ramboot fine from the internal HD when booting from UEFI grub4dos, if selected as first boot option or with F8. With or without --top parameter.
The bootx64_g4d.efi on your program is v2020-12-13, I'm going to try with v2020-12-15 which is the version on the HD, and let you know.

chainloader (0xff)
As Win10XPE_x64.ISO is ran from that location by MBR menu_Win_ISO.lst
I made the change manually and it worked fine.
Thanks for testing UEFI_MULTI-51
Your entry for Win10XPE_x64.ISO indeed makes more sense and I will change it in EFI\grub\menu.lst accordingly
Nice that so many Mini 8/10 x64 VHD's are booting fine in so many ways.
May be the failing ones can be solved with future versions of UEFI Grub4dos.
What is the VHD structure of the Mini 8/10 VHD's failing in case of booting with UEFI Grub4dos ?
In case of GPT (FAT32 100 MB + rest NTFS) I get similar behaviour that UEFI Grub2 is booting fine and that UEFI Grub4dos rejects immediately.
In case of MBR (Active FAT32 100 MB + rest NTFS) then UEFI Grub2 and UEFI Grub4dos are both booting fine.
Posted 18 December 2020 - 09:00 AM
All are MBR (FAT32 64 MB + rest NTFS)
Tested also with G4E v2020-12-15 and same thing:
If booting with G2 all VHDs Ramboot fine from it >>> chainloading to G4E all 2.3 GB VHDs fail (same with v2020-12-13 and v2020-12-15).
If booting with G4E all VHDs Ramboot fine from it >>> renamed bootx64_g4d.efi to grubx64_real.efi to test this. (same with v2020-12-13 and v2020-12-15).
But if I boot fron any of both loaders and chainload to the other then the 2.3 GB VHD do not load to Ram.
Same behaviour is present if booting from internal HD, I didn't noticed it before, as I created with BootIce an entry for Grub2 Super UEFI and another for UEFI grub4dos, I was booting from one or the other to test, and just chainloaded to the other to see occasionally the respective menu on screen only, but never tested trying to boot from the second loader, after chainload to it.
By the way I formated the USB FAT-32 partition and by means of UEFI_MULTI all boot files/folders were created again, but this time selected Mint UEFI and I noticed UEFI_MULTI writes fine the info to both menu.lst but it writes to /grub/grub.cfg the line to load/run G4E and it should be done to /boot/grub/grub.cfg, I edited it manually to call G4E from it, and the menu.lst appear on screen but same thing with all 2.3 GB VHDs
If booting with G4E those 2.3 GB VHDs can Ramboot with or without --top parameter, so this means there is enough contiguous Ram to load them below or above 4 GB, tested this when G4E is the second loader trying yo Ramboot the 2.3 GB VHDs and got the not enough Ram message in both cases.
It seems like when one of the loaders runs it is writen on the Ram below 4 GB and the other is writen on the Ram above 4 GB, both in the worst location, as then there is not enought contiguous Ram to load the 2.3 GB VHDs on this PC with 8 GB of Ram. Because the Mini-10-UEFI-WB.vhd of 1.1 GB MBR (FAT32 64 MB + rest NTFS) Ramboots fine from whichever is the second loader, confirming this that the biggest chunk, of free contiguous space available on Ram is smaller than 2.3 GB, on this PC with 8 GB of Ram.
