Hi,

http://w07.net is available to host Windows 7 related projects for Boot Land members.

Just ask for a sub domain in this topic and explain what you want to present to the world.

For example:

http://winpe.w07.net
http://unattended.w07.net
http://boot.w07.net

Sure

They are NOT (yet :)) configured.

Nuno is offering them to developers, which means (if you read between the lines ) that they are NOT yet assigned to anything.

Or are you hinting that Nuno would offer a sub-domain already assigned STEALING it :) from its assigner?

Yes, they are just examples.

Anyone is welcome to use the subdomains that were listed or any others possible to imagine as long as they are really used to publish something meaningful for the community.

@ Nuno,
It is really good step. but let me understand why you don't just add a sub-forum for this current one. Thus, you get all in one place. (something like what MSFN? doing)

Diversity.

We've been giving boot-land.net and winbuilder.net domains for years now. With Windows 7 came a good opportunity to use this domain for specific windows 7 tools and projects.

So, people can opt by winbuilder.net boot-land.net or w07.net to get a subdomain that provides more meaning to whatever they intend to achieve.

MSFN is quite limited in contrast to our way of doing things.

I see, but why you don't add a link in each forum to other websites. So that you link all of your websites !

I would like to apply for http://www.josh.w07.net

EDIT by jaclaz:
Site assigned  here :
http://josh.w07.net

The project I would be hosting on this site is the James Operating System H builds
{James Operating System Humour (Build 0.7)
James Operating System Habile (Build 0.8)
James Operating System Habile.1 (Build 0.8.1)
James Operating System Habile.2 (Build 0.8.2)
James Operating System Habile.R (Build 0.8.3)
James Operating System Habile2 (Build 0.8.4)
James Operating System Herd (Build 0.9 - future build)
James Operating System Herculean (Build 0.9.5 - future build)
James Operating System Hannibal (Build 1.0 - future build)}

James Operating System is developed under the Microsoft OEM Individual Developer License no.018317A6AE418 which allows the owner of said license the ability to develop upon existing softwares of Microsoft including the right to decompile and reverse engineer all softwares with which Microsoft keys have been supplied to.
According to this license beta testing of developed software by the OEM Licensor is allowable, and as JOS.H is an ongoing process of development (currently, and hoepfully in the future) beta testing is open currently.

What is JOS.H?
James Operating System H builds is a operating system made to run off a live media, either CD or USB, this live OS saves no settings, or files within itself, but supplies access to the computer's drives, allowing it to be used as a recovery OS.
JOS.H is built on the proven system of Windows Preinstallation Environment (3.0 ie. Windows 7 Preintsllation Environment), and is not designed as a recovery operating system, or an everyday operating system. It is supplied as a way of testing softwares that you are unsure of, or as a development tool to run existing Win32 applications to debug and continue development in a workspace where a full-blown Windows 7 Environment is not a plausible option. This means that it does not breach the standard EULA for use with WinPE.
