Hi,

the file "pecmd.ini" is always marked for download. Even if i download it manually and move it to the right place, it is still marked ...

It would be very nice to get a solution ... :dubbio:

@MedEvil, please read this:

Some files from another trees still have the problem ... i.e. pecmd.ini @ NaughtyPE ... But I will post it in the correct parts of this forum ... :w00t:

This is nothing about winbuilder, this is Project Admin's fault but cause no issue.

Similar problem exists also on some other servers :w00t:, there is no problem produced by pecmd.ini (or other files from other servers), you can download and use without problem :thumbup:

Besides NaughtyPE is an active project, MedEvil would probably fix quickly when you report.

@Project Administrators:
"FTP Client" softwares like to use ASCII mode for text files. They have an ASCII files list including .ini ( .script is not in the list :thumbup:) . Use Binary mode.
edit: maybe not including .ini, but Filezilla thinks it is text file :dubbio:

Giving Example with FileZilla 2:
Edit-->Settings-->ASCII/Binary ---> "Auto detect" selected as default. Change this to "Binary" :w00t:

Some more detail:
when ASCII mode used to upload files, last hex number 0A changed to 0D0A . This cause md5 checksum fail during download bla bla bla.... :(
ps: I don't know why 0A changed to 0D0A with ASCII mode.

edit: minor adding

edit: If upload done by winbuilder, than it is a winbuilder bugy, I have never used winbuilder to upload.

As you know, we don't have this issue on LiveXP :thumbup:

@MedEvil

At NaughtyPE it is pecmd.ini (and in the tools section upx.exe, 7za.exe and 7z.exe)

now %tools% folder are different on projects (LiveXP, nativeex Barabone, VistaPECapi) not to cause %tools% folder related issues. ex: "tools section upx.exe, 7za.exe and 7z.exe"

I reuploaded pecmd.ini. should work now fine.

and in the tools section upx.exe, 7za.exe and 7z.exe

Can't replicate that behaviour. Works fine for me. Maybe you've mixed NaughtyPE with another project which uses different versions of those files.

And where is the Tools folder located nowadays?

%Tools%=%BaseDir%\Projects\Tools\%ProjectTitle%
But if you still use the old convention, that should make no troubles.
On the other hand, in both cases the new convention can bring troubles when a needed tool is not in your server, but supposed to be delivered from 'somebody'

That is good to hear, so no immediate fix needed to not cause trouble for the other projects.

There are no scripts in NaughtyPE that i'm aware of, that would download anything from anywhere. :dubbio:

Thanks for the info, Peter. :thumbup:

Peter already answered,
Nowadays It is nice to see the projects that uses such a %tools% arrangement with single winbuilder :thumbup:
only it cause winbuilder load a bit slow if there are too many projects (scripts), reminding there is speed improvements on newish winbuilder :dubbio:

I meant just the opposite:
If you e.g. wnat to access hiderun.exe, which previously has been (downloaded by somebody else) in %BaseDir%\Projects\Tools.
Now it is in %BaseDir%\Projects\Tools\nativeEx_barebone and / or in %Basedir%\Projects\Tools\LiveXP and / or in ...
But not in %BaseDir%\Projects\Tools! You have to bring it there!

I don't think any project ever relied on another project to bring the tools it needs.

NaughtyPe is not one of them,

win7pe (yahoouk) is,
Also there are some old projects that do not have %tools% folder with files. Check around.

I simply copy LiveXP or nativeex barabone tools folder with such cases
