Using WinToFlash

you can
Make a bootable USB installer for Windows XP, Vista, 7

Havent had a chance to test but it sounds easy to follow.

WinToFlash starts a wizard that will help pull over the contents of a windows installation CD or DVD and prep the USB drive to become a bootable replacement for the optical drive. It can alsow do this with your LiveCD.

The tested version still had some small "quirks". (of course it is a direct "competitor" of wimb's and ilko_t's little apps)
