i've updated our internal WDS to 2008 R2 Server with the appropriate tools, WAIK 6.1.7600, MDT 2010 and so on....
Now i get the following error every time i try to make a bootimage:
"Warning! Windows x64 detected, please install Microsoft WAIK, other WIM tools will not be work on your system"
I've installed WAIK and i use it to manage our OS-Images, is it possible that VistaPE can't handle the new 6.1.7600 version???
Regards

Download VistaPE-CAPI from vistape.winbuilder.net on WinBuilder's download page. Many fixes and improvements. It appears that the version you have has been abandoned by the original developer.I use the one from http://www.vistape.net/download.php (The latest stable version is 12 RC1 (21.10.2008))

Download VistaPE-CAPI from vistape.winbuilder.net on WinBuilder's download page.
With the Winbuilder 078 SP2 version i just get the following error: "You need to be connected on the internet to download files"....

Humph. That's a WinBuilder issue. There's some discussion of that somewhere around here, but I forget where. With the Winbuilder 078 SP2 version i just get the following error: "You need to be connected on the internet to download files"....
Are you using a proxy?
Until you can sort that out, get vistape.winbuilder.net/VistaPE-CAPI.7z.

i got it now, it's the windows firewall which denied some outgoing connections, thanks for the hint
but the next step i don't get is how to make my iso file bootable via WDS, i know that the isos alone are not bootable via PXE, only the wim files. But the "image" that winbuilder creates is a just a iso with 1 wim file and the programfolders are dumped at the top of the iso's directory structure. bit confusing.....
