Hi All,

I am posting this, as I couldn't find a simliar post when I searched. I am just downloading this myself (have a WDC drive).

Here's the link to the WD edition of True Image Home 2009 Version 11 - 8311 - August 2009 build (see post #3 below) download:

Hope this is useful. I know the Seagate version of True Image 11 (Discwizard) has been around for some time.

PS: Now, does anyone have a ready Winbuilder script for this ? :D

PS2: I guess now that Home 2010 has come out, 2009 is being given away this way. 2009 doesn't support Windows 7 :D - version comparison here: http://www.acronis.c...comparison.html

Untested, but here is the best link I found on the forums (while I am still downloading :D ):

Anyone knows of a better option, please provide the link. Thanks.

Have now installed this. As was also pointed out to me by dera, this is version 11 (but an August 2009 build) - not 2009.

Thereafter I looked at the download link carefully and this is what it says:

ATIWD is based on the award winning Acronis True image Home 2009 backup, restore and disaster recovery program.

Acronis True Image WD Edition Software File Size: 121 MB (approx.)
Version: 11.0 (build 8,311)
Publish Date: August, 2009

Sorry for the confusion. At least now all of Seagate/Maxtor/Western Digital are giving version 11 free.

The only saving grace/hope is that there is a 'Download a newer version' option under Help. So, someday, 2009 might come up, hopefully!

Attached File  TIH11WD_v3.7z   182.71KB   217 downloads
this script is for LiveXP
unfortunately its size is rather big (~212MB)
and don't know exactly how would be possible to slim it down, sorry

in \Common Files\Acronis
to keep only these files is enough?

\Common Files\Acronis\CDRecord\cdrecord2.exe
\Common Files\Acronis\CDRecord\growisofs.exe
\Common Files\Acronis\CDRecord\readcd.exe
\Common Files\Acronis\CDRecord\wnaspi32.dll
\Common Files\Acronis\Common\gc.dll
\Common Files\Acronis\Common\icu34.dll
\Common Files\Acronis\Common\icudt34.dll
\Common Files\Acronis\Common\resource.dll
\Common Files\Acronis\Common\rpc_client.dll
\Common Files\Acronis\Common\thread_pool.dll
\Common Files\Acronis\Fomatik\fcalloc.dll
\Common Files\Acronis\Fomatik\fnls.dll
\Common Files\Acronis\Fomatik\fobject.dll
\Common Files\Acronis\Fomatik\ftrace.dll
\Common Files\Acronis\Fomatik\sequence_parser.dll
\Common Files\Acronis\Fomatik\tdrpapi.dll
\Common Files\Acronis\Schedule2\schedhlp.exe
\Common Files\Acronis\Schedule2\schedul2.exe
\Common Files\Acronis\Trace\FileTrace.dll
\Common Files\Acronis\TrueImageHome\AutoPartNt.exe
\Common Files\Acronis\TrueImageHome\TrueImageHomeService.exe
\Common Files\Acronis\TrueImageHome\TrueImageHomeNotify.exe

seems maybe better to not touch the files in the 'Fomatik' folder
(when only the files listed above are present in the 'Fomatik' folder then
the 'Bootable Media Builder' function is removed
and the 'Explore Backup Archive' function doesn't work
but the folder size is only ~7MB,
backup/restore/image mounting function seems still works,
while the original full size of this folder is 100MB)

but if someone needs this 'Explore Backup Archive' function
then should keep also these files:
\Common Files\Acronis\Fomatik\Backup.dll
\Common Files\Acronis\Fomatik\BackupFilePlace.dll
\Common Files\Acronis\Fomatik\BackupNetworkPlace.dll
\Common Files\Acronis\Fomatik\DiskBackup.dll
\Common Files\Acronis\Fomatik\DiskManager.dll
\Common Files\Acronis\Fomatik\FileBackup.dll
\Common Files\Acronis\Fomatik\Registry.dll
\Common Files\Acronis\Fomatik\PlaceBrowser.dll
\Common Files\Acronis\Fomatik\URI.dll
in this case the 'Fomatik' folder size is ~50MB

First of all, thanks for the script.

I agree with you. We should probably not touch fomatik. We can probably discuss this offline.

And we can remove the mediabuilder etc. We already have the mediabuilder in Livexp.

I just tested. Everything works great.

Especially, the Virtual Storage driver also works great with this version, whereas the Amalux 9.1 version gives errors. Only difference is, now the drive letter is to be manually assigned in the disk management - not sure if the image was formatted - will check that next time.

:D I need to physically restart the machine to check, as it checks for physical WD disk.
