I really dont like their bate. It lets you only install in that same day and activate it. So if it messes up sometime in the future. You cant reuse it to install it again.

@TheHive,

I had the same thoughts too. So, after installing, restored system from backup and installed again, this time from the msi; works fine, also no nagging 'Software Informer'.

Once you get the registration number email, you can just use it like a regular installable (the msi I mean). No need to go through the same process - I remembered to save the .msi file though. The setup.exe in the download tries to check with GAOTD before extracting the msi.

Hope this helps.

I confirm what oriensol tells:

After doing the 'activation' process WHICH MUST BE DONE TODAY, I have some valid license information, which I can use on EVERY new installation ANYWHEN.

JFYI for those that didn't go for this: the size of the backup relative to Seagate Discwizard(i.e., Acronis Trueimage) is nearly double. I couldn't find any option to change the compression settings. Probably Paragon Drive Backup has more options.

Otherwise, this seems to support GPT, which Acronis (Home)/DiscWizard doesn't, AFAIK.
