Hi,

We are using the option 43 in DHCP with option 60.
We have installed a TFTP32 on a windows 2008 and widows 2008 R2 server.
to register the TFTP32 PXE server we need to provide a Boot_server_type n HEX:
We tried the option 0000 or 0001 but it didn't work.

My question does TFTP32 haves a Boot_server_type?
can we provide it by TFTP settings?
actually we are using an old PXE on which we can define it.

cordially ,

HI ,

for microsoft server you have to use Boot type server : 0001.

With WDS on 2008 server it does not work directly. because WDS does not support option 43.
you have to ask a KB : KB979720 5 microsoft develo it from our request)
