I've built the Win7RescuePE, set the default shell to BS Explorer when it booted to a black screen with a mouse cursor, and then rebuilt it - same result.

I'm sure I'm doing something dumb, but I've searched for some explanation and can't find it. I'm booting from USB - everything builds fine - no errors - but when I select Win7PE from the boot menu and it goes through the loading screen - I have no desktop or task bar.

Independent from the log you'll post:

This bevaviour can be 100% forced by placing thw WinBuilder %BaseDir% into the user data, e.g.:

C:\Documents and Settings\ThatIsMe\WinBuilder.

Ah - so if I'm using a directory in my User Profile that would cause this problem?
