i guess Olof Lagerkvist is doing it but its also cool here on your app, just wondering who will come out with it FIRST

L, maybe you haven't been told enough (or grumpily enough) that IMDISK is NOT a hard-disk like driver it is a SUPERFLOPPY or PARTITION one.

As is IMDISK connects at a "higher" level than what is needed to access the MBR.

Try reading SLOWLY here:
http://www.boot-land...?...11642&st=40

Unless Olof re-writes IMDISK (or ANOTHER driver) it simply won't happen.

Thanks, maanu! :dubbio:

Oh, it differs by size and bytes! Can you tell us, please, what are the changes from the previous v0.8.0 link?

And yes, it's awesome! Perfect look, powerful options.

...

Got
SetEntriesInAcl error
trying to touch seven's BCD from LiveXP. But it worked.

BcdTool doesn't show any warnings on the same conditions, btw.

i knew you won't resist  anyhow, it won't hurt to put request this way (dev'z can get the idea of missing cogs and can perhaps fill the gap)

IMNSHO a request for a feature should be something that the original Author may have overlooked or did not think as useful, not something that would force to rewrite the program from it's foundations.

Next things you could ask, following your line of reasoning, could be:
  • to Pauly if he could add editing an Excel spreadsheet to BOOTICE
  • to tinybit or chenall if they could add text processing and cd burning to grub4dos
  • to steve6375 if he could add to RMPREPUSB Ext2/3 and ReiserFS formatting

;)

I support L's position. It's normal desire to have one program for such light tasks, and not many

What's "IMNSHO"? Anyways, Excel spreadsheet would be NICE  hahaha. BTW you forgot to mention Karyonix  and.... others, yea.

edit: on the second thought, if i were to ask for something... it would be ("Create image" button \ MBR|NoMBR etc options) instead of Excel lol. Its anytime better then using so many tools to get small jobs done individually.

L

What's "IMNSHO"?

A reverse variant of IMHO  A Wonko invention, I suppose.

...

I continue the thought. A vivid example of not so handy differentiation -- two tools from esteemed TheK.

CreateRawImg -- creates images, ImgPTEdit -- edits them. Two functions = two exe :dubbio:

P.S. I don't blame anyone for anything, with all esteem and benevolence

 Be very careful till the beast wakes up (Wonko the Vampire  ) The guy has fed on information like blood and now that he'z updated mostly, his teeth drains errors out of us. Sometimes i think ;) he doesn't sleep at all. 24 hour non-stop responding machine... brain. For what its worth, I do support Wonko's words in the part where he says about "rewrite the program from it's foundations." but i've cut giants and focused on tiny these days (i think)

No "invention", a commonly used acronym.

I have to beg the pardon of Pauly for having contributed to this (senseless IMHO) thread hijacking.

Thanks for the update on IMNSHO. Don't you think hijacking can also promote this app (if they've missed news?) Besides Pauly is not able to update the thread title, where went former jaclaz or new jaclaz who can do it?

Yep, this feature is missing.

But, Mr.Tran, why do you need many partitions on UFD? What do you boot from it?

With multi partition, i can create partition for boot is hidden and par for data. It is anti virus par boot and easy for use partition data. Bootice is not good if remove it.

I boot 5(five) Linux based antivirus ISO via GRUB on single partition.

Hm. But it's interesting to me too the cause that enforced Pauly to remove that feature...

Hi Pauly,

I'm testing BootIce in BartPE USB flash drives (UFDs). Formatting with FAT32 does not seem to work. The same applies for earlier version 0.78.

NTFS works fine.

Congratulations on BootIce.
