I am an idiot in computing. I would like to make everyone simple - creating a bootable disc with my back up done with DriveImageXML.

Thanks a lot.

Loks as if it failed to mount the WIM file. What happens if you open cmd.exe and enter:

md c:\WIMTest

"C:\Program Files\Windows AIK\Tools\x86\imagex.exe" /mount "C:\Program Files\Windows AIK\Tools\PETools\x86\winpe.wim" 1 C:\WIMTest

(you can copy it and right-click in the CMD window to paste it).

If it works, then run

"C:\Program Files\Windows AIK\Tools\x86\imagex.exe" /mount "C:\Program Files\Windows AIK\Tools\PETools\x86\winpe.wim" 1 "C:\WIMTest"

Be aware that DriveImage XML will not restore to an NTFS partition under VistaPE. To restore you will have to delete teh partation or reformat it as FAT32 or something like that.
