Also noticed that your project will use the imagex in the projects\tools directory in preference to the one in the windows aik directory.

I have no imagex in projects\tools directory. :frusty:
Will look if there a problems, if a imagex from other projects is in tools directory.
Thank's for your clue.

OK, I've been trying since Friday to get a clean build with a variety of errors.

Build Env: Win7/64
WinAIK: Win7
Source: Win7/32

I finally determined my source DVD only has 1 image, so I had to change the default install.wim settings as in your tutorial to 1. (This is all fairly new to me). Also, had to set keyboard to UK, even though keyboard prompt says 'Additional Keyboard', because my EN source DVD apparently couldn't find the KBDGR.dll file.

Am now getting the following message when I try to run the .iso in VMware workstation:
WinPE_VM_error.jpg
I do get the grub boot menu first and when selecting Win7PE, I get this error.

And, my last log file: Attached File  log_20090830_203403.html   22.65KB   378 downloads
Any suggestions would be welcome.

Win7PELdrDebug and Win7PE ==> Upload.

Create shortcuts ready: X:\windows\system32\Shortcuts.exe -f X:\windows\system32\Win7PE.cfg
Create shortcuts ready: X:\windows\system32\Shortcuts.exe -f X:\Win7PE.cfg

This is very strange! :whistling:
Everything looks ok. May be, it is really a timing problem.
To test this, do a manually
X:\windows\system32\Shortcuts.exe -f X:\Win7PE.cfg
after booting your "OCZ THROTTLE 8 GB" rocket! :P
and give feedback.

Hello Joshua,

I do a try with :

1) "OCZ THROTTLE 8 GB" connected to "E-SATA" ==> Same Problem
2) "OCZ SSD 30 GB" connected to USB 2.0 ==> Same Problem

Other Precision ==> Not Fast ==> 4'15" For 1) And 4'40" For 2)

I don't understand why ? With the last Version ==> 1'45" for "OCZ THROTTLE 8 GB" connected to USB 2.0.

I do this Tests from a Desktop with a MotherBoard = ASUS P5B-VM

Thanks for your Suggestions and Help.

@Joshua

Do you know of a way to get BEExplorer to sort it's start menu? I have looked through the .ini files associated with BEExplorer and have not found anything.

This can theoretical be done by sorting bs_start.ini after my loader has wrote it. but it is not on my todo list.
May be Boa Software can do that ?

Hello All,

I do a try with "Win7RescuePE" From an Old Laptop "HP Pavillon ZD8020EA" and with "PLoP Boot Manager With USB Mass Storage Support". It works like a Charm from an USB Key "Verbatim Store 'n' Go 4 GB" !!!

For "PLoP", you can see a Post Here : http://www.boot-land...op boot manager

What happens, when you type:
X:\windows\system32\Shortcuts.exe -f X:\Win7PE.cfg
on a cmd prompt ?
Did the shortcuts then appear in startmenu? (after doing a Refresh start menu)
Did the shortcuts appear on dektop? (after doing a Refresh desktop)

My apologies for loading wrong log file, Joshua. Here is latest run with same results.

I've checked and double checked my source, and it is Win7/32/en.
