@asdfghjklo: I'm not sure what you hope to get besides the files inside the upload I made (see previous post).

@al-jo: It is very nice that you spend the time to upload the project step by step. We need such helpful members :)
Just a hint: Before you upload more scripts:

Download my uploaded project (Takes much less time than uploading everything item by item).

Compare and upload only the missing items.

Peter

Sorry to ask a stupid question, but is it possible to change the daemon cursor in the project to a normal arrow? I have a good reason...

I have a good reason...

No you don't!
There are no good reasons for removing trademarks from software, especialy free one.
If you don't like it, use another project.

You are right. I wasn't really thinking of it as such; they have put a lot of work into this project and deserve loud applause and recognition...I am such a bonehead sometimes. ;)

If you don't like the nice daemon cursor, disable loader hidden modus before building! ;)

Last stupid question, I promise! I have searched the thread, and can't find a solutions. The problem is that my background only loads during startup, then disappears. I see that as an issue with Win7P, but not rescue. I have configured the script, and like I said, I can see it at boot, but not when the desktop loads. Any thoughts?

Wait for next Win7RescuePE version, or use the solution in Dera's link. ;)

can you do it, please?

What files do I need to manually backup from the WAIK and where to place this files in the WinBuilder? I like to create a backup so that next time when I do a rebuild, I don't need to install WAIK. Is this possible? Thanks.

If you do not want WAIK to be installed simply use the nativeEx_Win7 project. It is based on the win7rescuepe-project (uses these files therefore you have to have a full configured win7rescuepe for the build) but you do not need WAIK ... afaik atm there are only these two options : with WAIK win7rescuepe, without WAIK nativeEx_win7

Is there some trick to getting the Start Menu Shutdown buttons to dissapear using ShutdownPE? I've selected the checks to remove it, but no joy.

So I got a bit further with this :ranting2: - I was able to remove Shutdown, Reboot and Logoff with the code below (I added it to the ShutdownPE script), so now I'm only left with "Lock" visible, which obviously still does nothing when clicked. I haven't been able to figure out how to remove it completely yet.

Reg_Add,0x4,"%reg%\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer","NoClose","1"

Reg_Add,0x4,"%reg%\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer","StartMenuLogOff","1"

Reg_Add,0x4,"%reg%\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer","DisableLockWorkstation","1"

Reg_Add,0x4,"%reg%\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer","PowerButtonAction","512"

Reg_Add,0x4,"%reg%\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System","HideFastUserSwitching","1"

Next question/problem:- does anyone know how to add/pin shortcuts to the main Start Menu (Explorer Shell)? It would be great if ShutdownPE could be pinned there, and other apps too! By the "main" Start Menu, I mean the part you see when you first open it, not the All Programs section. I did try this by copying a .lnk to the profile here:
"\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\StartMenu\"
Which is where my Windows 7 PC stores them, but this didn't seem to work in PE ;)
