On both my desktop and laptop computer, it takes about 4 minutes for my VistaPE DVD-RW to boot up.

Is there anything I can do in VistaPE to speed up the boot process? As far as I know, we can use Ramdisk to load BartPE to get it boot faster. With VistaPE, is there any similar method to reduce the image size or boot up fast?

I found disabling or excluding Internet Explorer from the build makes a big difference. This on VistaPE 11 and Winbuilder 74.

cd drive read speeds and available RAM make a difference. I have also noticed that when I build with less programs "run from ram" aka packed into vistape.wim the black screen/white progress bar portion of the bootup is much quicker.

I need Internet Explorer to browse the Internet so disabling IE is not an option.

For the option "Run from ram", I didn't add any programs to "run from ram" so no changes are needed for this setting.

I also observe that it is slow when loading some .inf files during boot process. Is there anything we can do to make .inf files being loaded faster?

You can use Firefox instead of IE...
