For example paragliders shellexecute.exe or cmdow.exe

Just for the record, there is also this pretty newish app:

cmdhide.exe v1.3

This small tool is useful for hiding ugly cmd windows.

It might not be quite as effective as cmdow.exe but cmdow.exe is now triggered by antivirus programs as a virus. cmdow.exe is not a virus... but since the AV makers decided to destroy cmdow.exe I came up with this alternative.

It works a little diffrently than cmdow. Here is how you use it:

Most people will want to place the cmdhide.exe file in the system32 directory so they don't have to specify the path to cmdhide.exe in their batch files.

@all,

new version uploaded.

- restart issue at double click on "beta" area fixed
- initial autorun batch isn't visible anymore (if autorun plugin is enabled)
- more changes will follow

I'm just working on revising my batcher "explorer" and "jpg's as wallpaper" plugin
They will follow soon. I think I will create a new project for this created environment.

Seems really good!

Your custom working project would be much simpler to test and use, I'll wait for it to give more feedback..

Keep up the good work! :P

btw: Have you noticed that you can create a custom update service for your own projects and scripts? This would sure make it easier to keep track of your updates.. :P

I've just downloaded the file, but unfortunatelly he made his app as a standard GUI app, wich includes all windows resources within the .exe even when they aren't needed, giving a size of 180Kb.

He should have made this app compiled in win32 console mode wich would surely decrease the compiled exe size to around 10Kb..

Here's my own attempt on this once:

(hide.exe - source code is also posted)

I've also looked for hideExec (1Kb), but it seems to have the same issues as cmdow regarding antivirus:

Can anyone please check if hide.exe will cause any problems with your antivirus?

It would be nice to include an app of this sort on the %tools% folder, but not if it's causing problems with AV's..

:P
