Hi,
I'm looking for a way to boot a Hyper-V VM from an ISO and then start Vista setup.exe in WDS (Windows Deployment Server) mode - pointing it to a WDS server on my network for the install image. Any experience doing something like that? I don't want to rely on DHCP, otherwise I could use the Discover images that WDS generates itself.
Thanks!
Martin

I have written a script to do exactly this so I thought I'd share it in case you were still working on this. I've only tested it on my basic VistaPE, using CMD as the main shell, so your results may vary.
This script copies all of the files from the boot.wim sources directory into x:\windows\setup then launches "x:\windows\setup\setup.exe /wds /wdsdiscover" as a postconfig so that it runs after all drivers have been loaded.

Thanks for responding. I did eventually work out a method (somewhat different from yours) which is described in this thread:
