- Don't have explorer GUI
- uses 1gb disk space, and vista uses 6gb.
- haves only some GUI software.
My:
- CAN RUN ON 166MHZ 32MB PC
- uses ~17 MB of ram
- uses ~70MB of HDD space, while Windows 2003 server ~1,5GB
- haves some GUI tools too.
It's heavily based on Standard project, and i edited some scripts, mainly XPE - PNP & Multimedia and i deleted ALL audio.
If somebody can clean it EVEN MORE, please tell me.
Tasklist:
+ is done, * in works, - planned.
+ made it boot
+ haves network
+ haves PnP
+ deleted Audio
+ it's really lightweight
* adding more software
- add 2 NTOSKRNL's left.
- add MORE network drivers ;/
- add Mass Storage drivers
- do new boot logo
- do installer (i thought somebody with delphi knowledge, like Nuno, can help me)

I like those goals.

Project is nice, and it uses CMD, that's cause how it haves so small use of RAM ;-)
I will do PicoRAM project, which will have BSExplorer as shell and can run still with 32MB of ram.
PicoRAM+GUI - pico (small), RAM (i mean, use of ram), +GUI (with Explorer-alike GUI) = small use of ram with Explorer-alike GUI
I modified many scripts to make that work as I planned.
Hardest work was with XPE - PNP & Multimedia, i needed to delete all the audio.
Because there weren't any audio support in Longhorn Server Core (the OS that was inspiration for that, and it's in Beta/RC? stage).
New version of W2k3 server core in works
Tasks to be done 'till new version:
- add 2 NTOSKRNL's left.
- do new boot logo
EDIT (again): In my Windows 2003 Server trial, i didn't found any of the 2 left NTOSKRNL's, so i will make it copy them IF FOUND.

I rather randomly found it some minutes ago, too.Oh my godness. A company "WestHurley ComputerReCycling" asked me stuff about Windows 2003 Server Core. So the project is not lost! Though i haven't touched it for 7 months... it's now back alive a bit to troubleshooting!
Look at this topic.
Maybe something can be combined
