Eh, YES - the non button font/text areas of 3 and 4 are not language / font / size adjusted.

That seems to surprise you? I'm now surprised by your surprise :confused1: that would suggest it's not just a simple config issue then?

No it doesn't suprise - I just didn't look at your screenshot in enough detail. The text that comes out wrong always stays in English and is hard-coded in vb6 to be standard MS Sans Serif 8pt.

Ok Steve sorry for the delay, here is the screenshot of v1.9.75 - you'll see 2x areas of font oversize: -

1. Filesystem and Overrides section.

2. Choose Folder button.

This was run on my laptop, this version (1.9.75) and the later version (2.1.695) work perfectly on my desktop, confirming the laptop 'configuration' appears to be at issue here - but can't explain it based on your previous comments. This appears to be the only program that the 'issue' appears :confused1:

Just came across this post

It seems I need to select a different font to be compatiblw with large monitors!

If it is OK, can I make a test version and send it to you tomorrow or Monday to see if it looks OK?

Yes, I'd be very happy to help you with this.

Just send me a link when you're ready and I'll give it a go on both laptop and desktop - not sure why the desktop just copes though. Both machines have virtually the same setups configured, only differences would be the underlining display adapters (both nvidia) and hardware.

What stick is it - where did you buy it?

No special lock visible on it...

via polish "ebuy" - no name stick

I try with adding reg. - no change

format by cmd - no change

the RAW file was probably created by Samsung TV becuse I wanted to record on it and TV was performing some kind of formating??

with Low format tool I was able to quick format - only to get acces to one folder (without possibility to delete this file - the same mesage) on this stick but now after many trials its not availble any more...

Sorry to jump in here but how much do you want to bet that he got a counterfeit thumb drive?  I was suckered into buying one of them a few years back, the seller even had a good rating and was selling through Amazon.  It threw similar errors.  I managed to get a charge back from Amazon and threw the thing away.  The seller disappeared too.

WP - Write-Protect

CDType- some flash drives can be formatted using a special tool to be a CD or CD+HDD and thus the partition is read-only (or WP).

So what you are saying is - I used some 'tool from the net' and now it doesn't work. Sorry, 'Number 5 need more input'!

EDIT:

Incydently after trying one more time I have again acces to folder

but delete still  does not work

"the disk is write protected, remove write protection or use another disk"

note: Previously I write and delete the same file 4 times

last time one folder left on disk for that reason

Please FORGET about that tool.

A USB stick is NOT a hard disk (and BTW no such thing as "low level format" exists for "real" hard disks since many years, so, at the most that tool is trying to write 00's to the stick).

You need to:

  1. identify your usb stick
  2. find and run on it the appropriate Manufacturer Tool, if available

To identify it, run either or both of ChipGenius and ChipEasy, see here:

http://reboot.pro/to...661-chipgenius/

http://www.usbdev.ru/files/

and posts results.

Wonko

Good. :)

I would try first the "Recovery Tool For UFD" which is a simplified version of the Mass Production tool, if it recognizes your stick, then it should work.

Use google trasnslate:

http://www.usbdev.ru/files/alcor/

The Vid/Pid is not the "standard" Alcor Micro one, which is 058F\6387 so it is possible that you need to either change it (using the specific tool) or (read the page) set it as an "allowed" Vid/Pid.

Then get the AlcorMP_UFD Mass Production tool, you might have to try a few versions to find one that supports that controller and those Hynix chips, and of course playing with these things is "risky business", but it's not like you have any alternatives :dubbio:.

The manufacturer tool will re-analize the memory chips and (if possible) provide an error free user accessible space.

Wonko

Unfortunately no (and definitely no without knowing EXACTLY which tools you tried and what EXACTLY happened).

The issue here is that all these tools are more or less originated in China, proper documentation (Chinese or English) is lacking, most of the info - as you have seen - is in Russian, and - normally - to make these tools run you need an actual USB stick with that particular controller, the good news are that since I have not one of those USB sticks I risk nothing in "playing" with the tools so, up to a certain point (when the actual stick is needed) I may be able to replicate and assist you.

I guess we already used "too much" of this RMPrepUSB thread, let's take this to a separate "own" thread, please start a new one here:

http://reboot.pro/fo...rmat-utilities/

and detail WHICH tools you tried and WHAT happened.

Wonko

I have added exFAT support to RMPrepUSB v2.1.701  (and RMPartUSB 2.1.701).

If you select exFAT, then when you click  6 Prepare Drive, you have the choice of installing a BOOTMGR bootloader or a grub4dos bootloader to the partition boot record - so you can boot directly from an exFAT partition to grub4dos.

The grldr file on the exFAT partition must be called grldr_x - the grldr file is copied across and renamed for you by RMPrepUSB.
