ETHERNET+USB 2.0 Speed?
I guess that a picoITX:
with SATA2 and Gigabit Ethernet is needed, or, maybe better , boards designed for NAS:
The thingie looks interesting , though IMHO not suited for a NAS.
If they added to it a network over mains interface, something like this:
I guess it could be a very nice thing for less speed demanding chores.

Of course one might say that flash drives (especially the really cheap ones) are quick to die under heavy usage but then again, won't 512Mb be enough to run a OS solely from RAM along with the website and use the flash disk for the initial boot load?
Not much use as NAS but at least it seems a fairly decent web server.
Just some thoughts.

Mostly the poor performance, i would guess.
What would stop us from using a USB pendisk instead of HDD to save on power consumption?
