EDIT by psc: English speaking people, please see next post.

Hallo Boot-Land Community

Mein neues Internet Dialup.Script für LiveXP ist nun raus. :)

Kare

That means something like: "I hope that somebody translates into English"

Let me try to do a rather free translation into (my poor) English.
Let's treate this like a Wiki: If somebody wants to correct, please do so. I do not concern.

Hallo Boot-Land Community

My new Internet Dialup.Script für LiveXP is released. :)
It offers the ability to dialup with an analogue or DLS modem into the internet. I tested with a Microlink Fun 56k Usb modem and a DSL modem.
Both of them worked very well.
There is the possibility to copy the drivers (e.g. modem or network card) during build onto the CD.
DialupPE installs the devices on startup. For more complex drivers it is recommended to use Driver Import PE.
Unfortunatelly currently the script does work only if you use XP as source CD :)
With W2003 there are some issues with finding the files and starting the services.

To install the devices it is absolutely necessary to activate either the xpe-pnp-aio.script or the DrvImpe.script.

The Script is available here.

Thanks to Lancelot for revising the script user interface. :)

remarks of the translator:
I translate, but do not understand:

DialupPE V1.0.0.1:
-------------------
- automatic installation of the hardware

Greetings

Kare

Kare, I hope, I did everything correct.

Peter :)

!Translation!

Hello Boot-Land Community

My new Internet Dialup Scrript for LiveXP is now available. :)
It makes it possible to use dialup, with analog or DSL modem, into the internet.
I tested it with a Micorolink Fun 56k Usb Modem and a Dsl-Modem.
Both worked perfectly.
An option exists, to include driver files (i.e.Modem or NIC) into the build.
DialupPE installs at startup the devices. For more complex drivers, i recommend to use Driver Import Pe.
Unfortunately does the script at the moment only work with XP as source. :)
With W2k3 source there exist problems with the finding of the files and the starting of the services.
This script requires eighter the xpe-pnp-aio.script or the DrvImpe.script for proper function.

The script can be downloaded at: www.kare-net.de\download\Dialup.zip

Many thanks to Lancelot for the fixing of the script interface. :)

DialupPE V1.0.0.1:
-------------------
- automatic installing of the hardware

Greetings

Kare

Nice work Kare!

You must have found what was missing for 2k3 services to function?

Regards,
Galapo.

To Advanced users:

Kare says source 2k3 fails because
tapi service not start

Also Kare says this failure is because of the absance of
ipinip.sys,nwlnkflt.sys,nwlnkfwd.sys
Any idea ??

Hi Kare,
When I tried this script at build has received error:

FileCopy - Failed to copy [K:\i386\ASMS\52\msft\windows\net\dxmrtp\dxmrtp.dll] to: [%BaseDir%\Target\LiveXP\I386\System32]

I have replaced these lines in a script
CopyOrExpand,"%SourceDir%\i386\wanarp.sys","%target_sys%\drivers"

FileCopy,"%SourceDir%\i386\ASMS\52\msft\windows\net\dxmrtp\dxmrtp.dll","%target_sys%"

require_file,confmsp.dll

On it
CopyOrExpand,"%SourceDir%\i386\wanarp.sys","%target_sys%\drivers"

CopyOrExpand,"%SourceDir%\i386\ASMS\52\msft\windows\net\dxmrtp\dxmrtp.dll","%target_sys%"

require_file,confmsp.dll

Error has left

My Source - WinXP SP3 RUS
dxmrtp.dll present in source as dxmrtp.dl_

Hi CD-RW.

Start PeDialup leads to reinstallation of all drivers (for example, video), whether it is impossible to get rid of it?

Regards,
Nikzzzz.

Tell me why adding PEdialup.script in the project (which already have PENetwork.script) is blocking incoming TCP-connections?
PC with WinPE just stops responding to ping?
Network scanner shows that the computer has shut down all ports?
How can I fix it?

PS. The problem described here (translated from Russian with the help of google):

Hi mVlad,

sorry i cant help but i will inform the author to notice your report as soon as i see him on net

Hi MedEvil,

Shortly, latest version of the script is available on LiveXP server.
Longly, None of the kare's utility scripts available on kare's website. Kare work with LiveXP project to support scripts and to support bug reports. Sometimes kare respond late (or very late :P ) but always alive :) . Probably he has too much job and tired, or working on another driver project, or on vacation, or ... :P
Check available plugins on kare's website..(Edit: You will notice LiveXP project have latest pedialup, if you find a difference please inform)

file inside the PENetwork.script:

No need to be worried?

Where did you get the PENetwork.script containing DialupPE.exe? :smiling9:
I do not know any!

On the other hand:

Whether you worry or neglect the situation, is only your decision. Nobody can give you serious suggestions.

I can only explain my personal opinion:

AV scanners often give false positives about applications written in autoit. And DialupPE is IMO written in autoit.

If less than 20 % of the scanners decide an autoit app to be dangerous, I personally neglect this.
But here there are more than 50% ...

To the author: For me personally he seems trustable. He has been rather active in the forum, and I personally gave him some source code of my (development stopped) hostDriver application which he built into his DIPE.
That is the good news. But the bad news: Some month ago he told the community that DIPE will not be free any more. Besides the frozen current app, which will remain free for bootland users, new versions will become commercial.

For me personally that is a reason not to use apps of him any more, and therefore for me there is no 'virus decision' question.

Peter

Thanks for the reply.

I was getting the "test build" from here:
http://www.boot-land...mp;#entry106404
Filename: lx78sp6mtw.exe (50.31 MB)
After extracting there is a PENetwork.script in this location:
X:\lx78sp6mtw\Projects\LiveXP\Components\Core\1 System\Network
Inside the script there is 3 files: startnet.exe, rasphone.pbk and DialupPE.exe

Thanks.

That's a 'special build' by amalux which I did not know. I only knew Holger's 'official' scripts.

Due to 'Virus': Amalux is for 100% trustable. And that is not only IMHO, that is a statement set by me.

But concerning the 'third party elements' he added, my previous post is still valid. "Your decision ..."

Well, in the Internet DFÜ PE-plugin from the author, Kare, there is the same files.
http://www.kare-net.de/plugins-e.html#

Got this result now:
http://www.virustota...cb73-1282314453

So I simply replaced the "infected" DialupPE.exe with that one inside the Pe-plugin.

Perhaps "Amalux" could check this and possibly fix the script?
