Sure I can post it, but it's 6,5 Mb so I don't know where to put it :good:

If you PM me your email I can mail it to you or if ludovici want's to add it to his script/download site that would be great ^_^

But it still dosn't work without manualy adding the registry entrys after driver install.
Maybe we need to make a program to change registry?

I hope to get sound installed using pnp and hardware wizard if i get sound card installed correctly.
and using this audio script may work :good: ^_^
but do you see how i am doing this backwards, I will let you know,
I would rather Audio script did not have to install the sound card,
sound script should work with any installed sound card,,

see what i mean??

I recieved your email, thanks

@ludovici would you like to post this script on your site?

Here is what's I know about the registry entrys so far.

The entrys are inside the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\MMDevices\

This will add Windows Sounds to the Sound Mixer (I don't have windows sounds yet)
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\MMDevices\SPDIF_Formats][HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\MMDevices\SPDIF_Formats\{00000008-0000-0010-8000-00aa00389b71}]"DisplayName"="DTS Audio""Bitmap"=hex(2):25,00,77,00,69,00,6e,00,64,00,69,00,72,00,25,00,5c,00,73,00,79,\ 00,73,00,74,00,65,00,6d,00,33,00,32,00,5c,00,6d,00,6d,00,73,00,79,00,73,00,\ 2e,00,63,00,70,00,6c,00,2c,00,31,00,39,00,32,00,00,00"TestFile"=hex(2):25,00,77,00,69,00,6e,00,64,00,69,00,72,00,25,00,5c,00,6d,00,\ 65,00,64,00,69,00,61,00,5c,00,64,00,74,00,73,00,2e,00,77,00,61,00,76,00,00,\ 00[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\MMDevices\SPDIF_Formats\{00000092-0000-0010-8000-00aa00389b71}]"DisplayName"="Dolby Digital""Bitmap"=hex(2):25,00,77,00,69,00,6e,00,64,00,69,00,72,00,25,00,5c,00,73,00,79,\ 00,73,00,74,00,65,00,6d,00,33,00,32,00,5c,00,6d,00,6d,00,73,00,79,00,73,00,\ 2e,00,63,00,70,00,6c,00,2c,00,31,00,39,00,31,00,00,00"TestFile"=hex(2):25,00,77,00,69,00,6e,00,64,00,69,00,72,00,25,00,5c,00,6d,00,\ 65,00,64,00,69,00,61,00,5c,00,61,00,63,00,33,00,2e,00,77,00,61,00,76,00,00,\ 00[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\MMDevices\SPDIF_Formats\{00000164-0000-0010-8000-00aa00389b71}]"DisplayName"="Microsoft WMA Pro Audio""Bitmap"=hex(2):25,00,77,00,69,00,6e,00,64,00,69,00,72,00,25,00,5c,00,73,00,79,\ 00,73,00,74,00,65,00,6d,00,33,00,32,00,5c,00,6d,00,6d,00,73,00,79,00,73,00,\ 2e,00,63,00,70,00,6c,00,2c,00,31,00,39,00,30,00,00,00"TestFile"=hex(2):25,00,77,00,69,00,6e,00,64,00,69,00,72,00,25,00,5c,00,6d,00,\ 65,00,64,00,69,00,61,00,5c,00,77,00,6d,00,61,00,70,00,72,00,6f,00,2e,00,77,\ 00,61,00,76,00,00,00

Sure I can post it, but it's 6,5 Mb so I don't know where to put it :good:

Theroretically there exists a domain shared.winbuilder.net where trusted users can upload files (I PM them the access data).

But currently it is 'out of order'.

We are checking.

Thx, that would be great psc ^_^

@PaPeuser

The audio script do not install the driver (only fix missing files), but when the driver is installed not all the registrykey entryes are added.
So you need to add them yourself to get audio working :good:

(If I'm not mistaken the MMDevice regkey are deleted during driver install.)

Edit.
With virtual PC sound I can add complete MMDevice key with wrong GUID to make it work. It just gives me 2 speaker icons in Sound - playback.
With realtek I had to edit existing key to get it working ^_^

Hi,
I just passed the postgraduate exam. It's not convenient to get online now. So I can't post the screen capture. I'm so sorry. I'm replying the post with my mobile phone. After I entered my school in September, I'll get a firm network connection.
I checked:
all base
explorer
ie
common dll
winre
list control panel items
pe network 02
nothing else.
The principle of the batch is
collect all CLSIDs and files from Namespace registry keys. Search them in HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID. And also search the CLSIDs and files mentioned.
Then export all keys mentioned.
Convert all reg files to scripts. And add files to the scripts.
To write the script manually is a boring thing. So I need a thing to do it automatically. And I wrote the batch. I said I would rewrite the batch. the new one looks well but does not work well. So I generated the last release with the old one. Just some files added.
I hope it usefull for you. I know the network center is not a complete part. So more things need to be done. I will work on it

Hi.

Just a small status rapport.
I do now have the speaker icon in tray working :good:

Since it's holiday time I will have less time to work on the script the next days, but I'm sure we will make this script work ^_^

Still same script, only small changes to registry and then restart audio service.

Audio service should start automaticly when sound driver is installed.
You sure you have added all needed drivers for your card ? you also need ks.inf, wdmaudio.inf and driverfiles (drmk.sys, drmkaud.sys, portcls.sys, SysFxUI.dll, WMALFXGFXDSP.dll)

Are you useing Virtual PC 2007 or real PC?
In case of real PC, what sound card do you have?

Hello

I always check it first with VMware then boot to (Real PC)
I have the Realtek AC'97 audio for VIA on board. I have been working with the Hardware Wizard to install sound, for some reason sound is the only thing that will not be installed right at boot.

Now I lost my beta builds all 3, I added your audio script and a new antivirus just to test and they locked up Winbuilder, rebooted deleted test scripts and tried again, some how my Source folder got corrupt. :good: ^_^

Your script was not the problem!!!!
Like you said before to many beta scripts

So give be a bit to cool off and redo everything,
^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ :)

Edited FIXED - just needed defraged

oh, sorry to hear about you problems :good:

Not tested with wmware, I have tested it with Vinyl AC'97.

No idea about the error message, if not a reboot and a chkdsk fix it. ^_^

Hello everybody  :)

All this files "SysFxUI.dll, WMALFXGFXDSP.dll,drmk.sys,drmkaud.sys,portcls.sys" are in directory %WinDir%\System32\ DriverStore\FileRepository\wdmaudio.inf_1493ef6e

CopyDrv - internal command for easier work with the standard drivers, for example: "CopyDrv,acpi.inf_c947c6d1". Added in VistaPE v12 beta 1

Also we can write CopyDrv,wdmaudio.inf_1493ef6e

I write a new shell script where i put your modification; but i seen they are not enough suggestion about my project t o write script...

P.S : Can you explain a little more this :

The "tricky" part is inside [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\MMDevices\Audio\Render\{GUID}\Properties]
where the entry for Speakers are.
Problem is that the GUID are different for each time you install the driver
In this key there are 3 entrys "missing" (this is from Virtual PC 2007)
missing keys are in bold.

Thanks for all  :)

Ludovici
Could I suggest a few little changes in your next ShellV script :) :)

We know that Menu properties tweaks – use Vista style start menu causes problem

Others I have unchecked because they are included already
Share Folders
Bitlocker Beta
Most of the section on Visual effects
Printer Services
WLan service
HTA, WMI, XML, MMC,

We know fonts needs to be unchecked

When someone downloads a new version of Shell it should work with out having to deselect options.

I am not saying that this all needs removed from your script right now
But just.
That default settings could be changed.

If you need more information or help let me know. :) :)

If that command puts the files in correct folder before driver install, then great :)
If thouse are not there sound driver install fails for me.

When you install sound it adds itself into
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\MMDevices\Audio.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\MMDevices\Audio\Render is where the playback devices are (Speakers, Digital output, HDMI, ...(What you see when you right click on speaker icon and click playback devices.))
Each item gets random GUID for each time they are installed, like HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\MMDevices\Audio\Render\{8f9e16a9-2622-4656-a770-971476ae9d40}

In the subkey named properties you will find an entry {a45c254e-df1c-4efd-8020-67d146a850e0},2 = "DeviceName"
The one with this property set to "Speaker" (or your language for speaker) is the key missing entrys to work.

If your driver was installed successfully you will see these entrys in playback devices, but if you go to open volume mixer instead you will see "No audio device installed".
The missing 3 entrys will correct this error :)

Lets say this is what you have now.
[codebox] [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\MMDevices\Audio\Render\{14235d93-5680-4e96-a393-e405740650bd}\Properties] "{a45c254e-df1c-4efd-8020-67d146a850e0},2"="Speakers" "{b3f8fa53-0004-438e-9003-51a46e139bfc},6"="Microsoft Virtual Machine Audio Device Driver" "{b3f8fa53-0004-438e-9003-51a46e139bfc},2"="{1}.PCI\\VEN_1414&DEV_0007&SUBSYS_00000000&REV_00\\3&267A616A&0&60" "{83da6326-97a6-4088-9453-a1923f573b29},3"="oem3.inf:Microsoft:VIRTUALAUDIO:13.811.0.0:pci\\ven_1414&dev_0007" "{1da5d803-d492-4edd-8c23-e0c0ffee7f0e},0"=dword:00000001 "{259abffc-50a7-47ce-af08-68c9a7d73366},12"="%windir%\\system32\\mmsys.cpl,-3010" "{840b8171-b0ad-410f-8581-cccc0382cfef},0"=hex:41,00,72,00,08,01,00,00,01,00,\ 00,00,04,01,00,00,00,00,01,00,7b,00,32,00,7d,00,2e,00,5c,00,5c,00,3f,00,5c,\ 00,50,00,43,00,49,00,23,00,56,00,45,00,4e,00,5f,00,31,00,34,00,31,00,34,00,\ 26,00,44,00,45,00,56,00,5f,00,30,00,30,00,30,00,37,00,26,00,53,00,55,00,42,\ 00,53,00,59,00,53,00,5f,00,30,00,30,00,30,00,30,00,30,00,30,00,30,00,30,00,\ 26,00,52,00,45,00,56,00,5f,00,30,00,30,00,23,00,33,00,26,00,32,00,36,00,37,\ 00,61,00,36,00,31,00,36,00,61,00,26,00,30,00,26,00,36,00,30,00,23,00,7b,00,\ 36,00,39,00,39,00,34,00,61,00,64,00,30,00,34,00,2d,00,39,00,33,00,65,00,66,\ 00,2d,00,31,00,31,00,64,00,30,00,2d,00,61,00,33,00,63,00,63,00,2d,00,30,00,\ 30,00,61,00,30,00,63,00,39,00,32,00,32,00,33,00,31,00,39,00,36,00,7d,00,5c,\ 00,54,00,6f,00,70,00,6f,00,6c,00,6f,00,67,00,79,00,2f,00,30,00,30,00,30,00,\ 31,00,30,00,30,00,30,00,35,00,00,00 "{9a82a7db-3ebb-41b4-83ba-18b7311718fc},1"=dword:00010000 "{233164c8-1b2c-4c7d-bc68-b671687a2567},1"="{2}.\\\\?\\PCI#VEN_1414&DEV_0007&SUBSYS_00000000&REV_00#3&267a616a&0&60#{6994ad04-93ef-11d0-a3cc-00a0c9223196}\\Wave"

TaDaa, you have sound.

To get audio icon to work, go to services and restart the audio service :)

Hope you understand me, a little difficult to explain in English :)

Edit:
So we need to find out why these entrys are not added when driver is installed or write a small exe to correct it after driver install :)

Later today I will download a new VistaPE and your ShellV4
I will use default settings in Vista and in your ShellV4 :) :)

And I will make a list, but lots of options should be user choice

Back about 15 posts you fixed fonts by adding "*"
Well this still eroded for me - I do not think you can just copy all fonts that way
So not needing more fonts I left this unchecked.

Vista start menu options by default did not work for me, but I lost my notes

I will let you know later.... if you add Audio and we get default settings set this would be great :) :)

You see devices in Sound -> playback?

Hello all testing This Post has been edited a few times..............................................

Built on Windows XP (SP2)
Source Vista Ultimate (SP0) and WAIK

With a new Winbuilder [77 Beta 1] (Uncheck Victoria 4.3 Freeware (beta version) or you will have a boot error) not a build error.
And
Ludovicis - ShellV4.script (just downloaded today) – default settings
With ShellV4 I had many !!Can Not Copy FILENAME !!
BUT
Message - Build Successfully
Tested in VMware – Stopped loading at “Windows is loading files..” (Waited for awhile)
Closed VMware

Started Winbuilder again
I unchecked In Shell V4 script
Vista Style start menu
Webview
Add fonts - (Add fonts build problem maybe fixed. But i figured if i dont select printer services why would i need more fonts)
And changed default boot shell from BSexplorer to Explorer in Winbuilder
Built and booted to CubicExplorer in VMware?? and used PEloader to change to Explorer Shell - Desktop.ini was showing on desktop.
2 Explorer Shell listed in PELoader
Closed VMware

Tried again
This time I uncheck Base\File Tools both CubicExplorer and Far,
Ran build in VMware
Booted to Explorer Shell No problem

Took last build and Booted to USB stick to check. All is fine and you will see a speaker, network connection and a USB icon on task bar (safely remove hardware) but you will not see USB in VMware, only after booted. Right click computer icon on desktop many options are available

My point is a user should not have to uncheck all of this to be able to boot, and adding Audio to ShellV4 script with the default setting as they are now would not be in our best interest. Just changing default settings and letting user pick and chose would be best.

Next you add the VistaPE Patch v3jb and I left all options default – boot no problem – this will give you in Start Menu, Programs,
In Start, Programs, Computer Managment you will see PNP Ulit and Hardware Wizard both work (Works well)

If you use Patch with out ShellV4 you will not have the Hardware wizard

Now a Nap then I add xPE net, xPE DrX 10, list control Panel items scripts and Sound script……OOO media player for sound

Added Auto V2 script –remember to disable Audio in ShellV2 or when you boot to Vista you will see the BSOD
Found so called Vista driver for my sound card copied them and a few media sound files to my custom folder so I can installed after boot with Hardware Wizard. Hardware did install drivers but with a code 39. It DID NOT WORK,
Services Audio and Audio endpoint running - maybe i need a new driver - well MB no support Vista Grrrr

this may work if you have correct driver

When and if you get this far go to Start-Programs-Computer Management - run the PnpUtil
Then Computer icon on desk top right click – System Properties – Device manager
My sound card is listed as media controller – Right click and update driver – Hardware wizard will open, I chose to browse my computer for driver software and browsed to drivers I had copied over to the custom folder, Hardware Wizard will run and install drivers, well it listed my AC97 card correctly and gave me a code 39 ,, my mother board or on board sound is not supported by VISTA

Theroretically there exists a domain shared.winbuilder.net where trusted users can upload files (I PM them the access data).

But currently it is 'out of order'.

We are checking.

Peter

Hi NewBSOD!

The site is working agein.

If you are still interested to upload your 6.5 MB there, let me know, and I'll PM you the access data.

Hi PaPeuser,
you said you built pe on XP, so my batch should be edited to make it work well on XP.
One of the target to write the batch is to solve the problem that different system need different script. With the script, people can generate a local script. So that it can fix the problem from SP0, SP1, XP, etc. I will work on it if I have a chance.
