Correct English Language

The forum 'Write in your language' unfortunatelly offers only languages as sub forums, no 'common' questions in the forum itself.
Here my issue:
I learned e.g. 'do, did, done'
And also I learned 'load, load, load'
Question:
If I in the past copied a file to the server, in my opinion I upload the file.
But I usually see 'I uploaded the file'
Same with 'download'
To all native English speaking people: What' correct?
I hope that I do not get different answers from UK, US, Australia, ...

Ha, that's quite likely!I hope that I do not get different answers from UK, US, Australia, ...
"I upload the file" could be taken to mean either a) "I habitually upload the file"; or b) an hastily-written reduced form of "I will upload the file".
Hence, the state of affairs of the statement "I upload the file" is not naturally construed as having happened in the sense of "I have just now uploaded the file".
To cause the statement to be naturally construed as having happened, either of these will do: a) "I uploaded the file (for you)"; or b) "I have uploaded the file (for you)".
So some modifications:
Simple Past: I did; I loaded
Past Perfect: I have done; I have loaded
Present: I am doing; I am loading
Future: I will do; I will load
Future Perfect: I will have done; I will have loaded
Regards,
Galapo.

So there has been only a faulty cell in my ROM.
Unfortunately, during the years the same cells appear to change from "Flash" to "ROM" and then to "RAM".
What were we talking about?

BTW: Better than WOM (Write Only Memory)
I think this would describe me quite well..
Usually write all sort of stuff on a piece of paper and then never remember to look back and see what tasks were planned in the first place.
Here on the forums, my WOM is balanced with the memory skills of Jaclaz - he always remembers everything and eventually points me to several links back in the past where I can "refresh" my swap memory with the "forgotten" information that I posted before.
