This is sort of a "minimum what you need" to create a bootable iso-image which contains a bootable ramdisk which then again may also be used for booting from PXE enabled devices:

1:
You (might) need a clean windows XP install, where you will be running Winbuilder. I found it veryconvenient to use Vmware Workstation and/or Vmware Server to install the clean XP where winbuilder would run
You need Winbuilder (I used both beta and stable versions)
You need ImDisk: http://www.ltr-data....ode.html#ImDisk
You need Windows server 2003SP1 files from cd or other resources

2:
Instlal the clean XP
Install Winbuilder on your new XP
Install ImDisk on your new XP
Copy your windows 2003-server SP1 -files to a location on your new XP

3:
Run Winbuilder
go to "download center"
Choose the "recomended" option.
Uncheck everything except the "LiveXP"-downloads
Download extensions you've chosen

4:
In the scripts section, uncheck everything you really don't need (you actually do not have to do this to get a running iso/ramdisk, but it saves some time when compiling the images.) For a first try at least
Under the "finnish" section in "scripts", uncheck "burn image" (unless you actually ned to burn the image of course). Go to the "create image"-section an check the "boot SDI"-option. Under "Boot SDI", uncheck the option for "I provide the files ramdisk.sys, setupldr.bin"
Press the big green "play"-button on top right in winbuilder.
You will be asked to provide the location for your win2003SP1-server files. Please do that and press "Continue".
Get some coffee.
When the compiling is done, you will see Winbuilder try to start QEMU with your new iso-image. If this works, the ramdisk created alongside the iso will also work with PXE-boot.
the iso will be found in %winbuilderinstalldir%/ISO directory
while the RAMdisk will be found in %winbuilderinstalldir%/ISO/Ram directory

Ok

I hope someone finds this useful

Good work!

Get some coffee.

As an alternative, take a short walk, hug somebody/something. :confused1:

I'm moving this to the Tutorial section, where it is more appropriate.

It also comes with a fairly useless bonustrack:

(although, if you download the psp-version, you might actually see all the action)
