HI Q123

1.After your note I did checked downloading Pictures.zip from
attachments "Multiboot DVD by Aero step by step"
it was OK.

2.I made a project like yours, and checked it by VMWare it was OK.

3.It seems that there is some problem with your work, may be notes below
will help you to success:

__ Some times after making ISO by Aero, when testing the iso,it gives
error as you showed in m2.JPG. when you see this error ,i think it is
aero error,so try to make the project again.

__ I could not understand the reson of making iso error in aero.99% of the
times that i tried to make iso by aero.if the source folder was bigger
than few mega bytes, the program could not make the iso.I do not know this
problem is my mistake or program's error!!!
Any way do as below for your project to work.(I suppose that you want to
setup Windows XP by aero)

A_ Copy contents of your XPCD some where for example "C:\XPCD"

B_ Make folder "C:\Source"

C_ Make folder "C:\Source\i386\"

D_ Copy just "C:\XPCD\i386\setupldr.bin to C:\Source\i386\"

E_ Make your project, use command "bcdw (cd)/i386/setupldr.bin\r" and also use
"C:\Source" as your source folder for project.

F_ The program will make ISO by the name you specify. Open this iso by UltaIso
and add contents of "C:\XPCD" to that and save

Now this ISO will work as you made.

Hope this will help some
have nice times

To Q123

Tested your aero file (test.iso) from USB device (boot from USB thumb drive). Works like a breeze :confused1:
No errors what so ever. Tested running your test.iso using windows virtual PC, this generated error – didn’t work.

So it seems to me that there are no errors in test.iso.

To Shirin Zaban, thanks for your tutorial (AeroStudio) that get me starting, thanks

How to boot from a USB

Quote: ” How to boot from a USB”.

To make it easier you can use one of my special script. I have made several scripts that automate the whole process.

I recently updated one of my scripts “USB-Grub>AeroStudio”. This script formats > injects grub boot sector > copies your aerostudio iso file to USB device > have options for setting aero ISO to be the “main boot loader”.

Script is also equipped with “cab”-function and “gzip”-function to any file of your choice. Finally, script is shipped with an internal aerostudio ISO file as test object.

Attention: when you use this script it’s important that you set amount of physically connected hard disks in your system.
Example: You have two hard disks in your computer. Hard disk one has two partitions and disk two one partition. You should here set amount of hard disk to two. Because script are only interested how many physically connected hard disks you have in your computer.
Don’t count in USB device, because USB device is the target for the whole process.
And only have one USB device (primarily USB thumb/stick device) connected when running script.

As a precaution I have designed this script to that under no circumstances touch hard disk one [C:] to not damage boot sector - in case you set physically connected hard disks in script in a impropriated way.

Here you have simplified web page with download: Server problems!!!!
Updated! Now supporting hard disk units connected via USB-IDE/SATA adapter :confused1:
Some adjustment done in Aero-file (“Boot from 1st hard disk”)

Could you please give back some feedback (success or whatever).

this is frequent asked problem.

1. the current version of aeromgr has something when generating the iso;

2. on some virtual machine, the iso file generated by aeromgr cannot be accessed properly. i usesually use VMWare to test my ISO. and on real machine, i use the isoemu to test the interface. ;-)
