I've created a WinPE image that boots fine to virtual machine. However, when I boot it makes it to windows and before it loads the shell a dialog appears that says: "VistaPE Loader. Preparing System". In this dialog, it runs through "Detecting USB Devices", then "Processing Additional Config Files" and then something about "Processing Shortcuts" and it freezes. The screen immeadiatly turns black with no signal.

I should also note that at the "Processing Shortcuts" phase, the screen size adjusts in VM. Perhaps the freezing has something to do with video?

Any advice on troubleshooting this?

Thanks,

Jeff

Don't know much about VistaPE, sorry. Is there something similar to SetResolution in LiveXP that allows you to configure resolution settings/options? When LiveXP boots with an unsupported resolution (black screen), you can hit ctrl+shift+L to lower resolution; I don't know if something like this exists for your build but others here should

btw, welcome to the forum!!
