Hi there,

Anyone of you know how to make the 3d screensavers work in LiveXP? It states: "Could not find any compatible Direct3D devices." How to solve this problem?

Greets,

Ralf

You will need to include in your Live XP the proper driver for your Graphics Card, only that one will give you directx capabilities.
And then of course you will also need DirectX.

HighwayStar started some work on this matter: http://www.boot-land.../?showtopic=537

Don't know if it is still working or not since it was over 2 years ago, I wonder if he's available to update this script to LiveXP?

Maybe you can send him a message requesting this feature or someone volunteers for this task.

I'll be moving this thread to the proper section - Requests.

The projects section is reserved for introducing projects.

wow.. Thank you dera!

The code still seems functional to work with LiveXP, it could however use a good re-write to use the newer API commands to ensure it continues working in the future.

Wonder if this script could also be applied to VistaPE? :)

i havent tested yet (i had all your previos .script too to inspect, one at a time :>), a question in mind, do i enable both scripts
xpe_directx_original.script
xpe_directxfix.script
or
only enable
xpe_directxfix.script (i added line you mentioned with your last post to here)

Better post a new topic on the site feedback section to ensure that this won't be forgotten.

Thank you!
