hiya,

I managed creating a USB boot VistaPE and works perfectly fine on my Vista installed laptop. However, I get an error saying the drive doesnt have right type of files (or no OS files, something like that) when I try to boot a Windoes XP installed system. what is the problem do you think?

all I want to do is be able to run diagnostics or virus scan etc. both on vista and xp systems.

USB stick: Sony Micro Vault Click 8gb, formatted to NTFS.
