TIGSource De-make Competition
http://forums.tigsou...hp?topic=2376.0

Sorta on-topic as the point of the contest is to take a new game and "back port" it to an older system. Of course, the general theme dictates your game must look like a pirate version with similar (but not trademark infringing) content.

My entry is Axion 52
It's a parody of the Action 52 NES cartidge http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Action_52. I'l downgrade the style to Coleco or Intellivision standards. I've got a month and no track record of completing a project - I'd say that gives me a 50/50 chance

I suggested these names for possible titles but nobody took them.. wonder why?
A Boy and His Blubber
Arthritic World
World of Wortcraft III: The Cold Beer
Evercrust: Champions of Nobath
Lawyer Suit Larry 3: Paranoid Patty in Pursuit of a Restraining Order
Golden Ass: Donkey Rider
Shinbarney 2: The Silent Furry
Dog Hunt
Ultimate Hoekworld: The Stimpyian Abyss
Yoshi's Cooties
50 Bytes: Gameplayproof
The Elder Snores IV: Oblivious
Meat & Plastique IV: Clouds of Spleen
Hard Steerin' II - Drink Harder
Super Pitiful
Wired Bear and the Dope Gang
Shin iMesh Tensei: Digital Spyware Download
Tetanus 64
Slaves to ASCII: God of Bloodshot Eyes - Chapter II: Daunting Interface
Altered Breasts
Oh No! More Americans
Re-Volting
Hentai of the Tentacle
Maniac Manson
Sam & Max: Get a Room
Trammps - Deadly Disco
Advanced Surgeons & Cysts: Heros of the Lance
Police Quest: In Pursuit of the Parking Meter
Shallowbane - Buffbots of Oblivion
Pasta Dragoon Orza

Don't worry, I think your imagination level is so refined that few ever note the style nuances..

Re-Volting

A beard?

Does that mean you're the Evil Nuno from the alternate Star Trek universe?

http://en.wikipedia....r_(TOS_episode)

I already locked a friend in a room until he beat the game so no beta testing is needed :whistling:

It is fun to play though! Just make sure to have at least 4 video cards installed for the intense graphics ;)

Tried the game under Wine on Linux and it did run well even thought the window size was a tiny small (about the same size as my avatar)

----------

The first thing your game reminded me was Mario Bros as TheHive mentioned. But I didn't went too far and got caught several times by the local enemies.

Any cheat key to get the flame thrower or the apache helicopter? :whistling:

That bike sounds cool! Gas prices are crazy nowadays.

Cheat code: Press L to gain 99 lives.

I'm thinking of entering another contest. This one has prizes too.

Not sure what game I'm gonna make yet. I was thinking of mashing up Toilet Kids and Paper Mario. Toilet Paper Kids!
