Hello all!

I purchased a copy of Keyfinder Advanced. I discovered some missing ocx's and dll's for this program to come up on my build of VistaPE. Registery redirection works using RunScanner. Now I get the following error from the program when I select to change the product key of a separate Windows XP installation: "Function not supported in Windows Vista".

I built my PE CD with Windows XP, not Vista. I am using the program to operate on a version of Windows XP, but this problem still comes up. How cn I make the Keyfinder software think it is running on Windows XP, not Windows Vista? What can the problem be here? Need to change existing or add missing registry keys to the VistaPE build?

Thank you for any help or insight into this problem.

How cn I make the Keyfinder software think it is running on Windows XP, not Windows Vista?

one posiblity may be to try using the 'Application Compatibility Toolkit' <-- ver 5
iv only used an older vertion(act26_001.exe) to get xp-drivers to install on svr03-workstation

all it seemed to do was lie about the windows vertion to the aplication when ever it cheked the os ver

best of luck
