Hi all ;) ,

Found a kewl tewl on the 911 CD forums here in fact http://www.911cd.net...showtopic=14985 (See Post #4 by Jotnar)

Why am I posting this well I have been looking for a "freeware" ISO Editor (NOT a burner an Editor) & boy is it difficult to find one! What I am basically talking about is a free replacement for programs like UltraISO WinISO which are commercial but I could not find one anywhere! One candidate was http://dpaehl.dd6338...server.com/cdr/ > "Burning soft" > under the heading of Visual-ISO but it is in beta but is capable of standalone ISO production but has only given me error messages up till now. But the wrapper below is small & close but is not an editor in the strictest sense, it needs to add/subtract & create ISO's & possibly provide Boot files etc. There is a definite hole in the freeware market for a ISO editor & making it portable would be the icing on the cake, hint hint? If someone would like to write such a tewl I offer my services to write a tutorial for it LOL!

Click on the link http://mysite.verizo...artsec/make.htm & you will be transported to his own web-page & for a screen shot see this:

If you like the look of the wrapper then here are the download instructions:
To download the program you need to:
1) Right click on the download button, "Save Target as" option.
2) A new window will open select where you want to save the file I use desktop as a temp location.
3)within the same window within "Fileneme" box you should see MKISOFS.htm. change the ".htm" extension to ".RAR" so you should have "MKISOFS.RAR".
4) Within the same window just below "Filename" go to "Save as type" box, you should see "HTML Document", click on the down arrow to the right of it & change to "All files"
5) Next click on the "SAVE" button and your file should be downloaded to the destop in ".rar" format open & do with as you please! ENJOY!

Now if you cannot be bothered with all this see the attachment below (it's 28Kb's)

Anyway enuff of my ramblings "ENJOY"

Regards & Best Wishes,

ispy

P.S. Boot-Lands "ISO EDITOR" Portable freeware, it could be the first progey for the proposed Portable software section, would draw in the punters LOL!!! If you happen to Google search the WWW. you find it is a popular question!

Hi Nuno ;) ,

Sorry Nuno! Not very subtle Am I? It does not have to be a full blown section just maybe a link section maybe, if it does not take off we could always dump it? You don't think I am being a bit obsessive about this do you  ?

Regards & Respect,

ispy
