Perhaps i am thick but i am struggling to get an ISO image to boot from a cd
or get a USB key to boot.

>> What would be good for me (and perhaps others) is a simple guide of the basics
on what should be in the iso image which looks like it will boot and how to burn
(CD) or copy the image to a USB key. Pinned in the news groups.
Especially in the context of a set of standard winbuilder settings, e.g. VistaPe, ReactOS

I suspect dsomething extra is needed fot the booting to work.I have a newish motherboard and standard XO / Vista install disks will boot from the CD / DVD so it is not my hardware.

Is there any visual flow diagrams of the pc boot process for XP and vista ?

Hi Nuno/greg roberts ;) ,

I would like to take a stab at this with an "E" Book but would need help with info & links etc as we did with the BootSDI Tutorial.

Also just to let you know I will be going on holiday/vacation from 14/06/08 till 21/06/08, will be going to Jaclaz's back yard "Italy" with the nearest & dearest (the wife). We have booked a holiday in "Lake Garda" for a week so will be unavailable to start this project till then!

But if anyone would like to post suitable material feel free to do so?

Regards & Best Wishes,

ispy
