I work at the University of Memphis ResNet office, and we have been repairing computers with BartsPE to repair the resident computers that come into the office.

While Barts PE / UBCD4WIN is still our most commonly used tool, we are in need of something more compatible with windows vista.

I have been working on getting VistaPE v.11 Multiboot to work on an experimental system, but I am running into several errors.

I am getting varying results between booting directly from a CD/DVD, and booting an ISO inside of VirtualBox.

On VirtualBox:

VistaPE: Begins to boot, and enters graphical mode, but then I get a BSOD reading "A process or thread crucial to system operation has unexpectedly exited or been terminated" STOP 0x000000F4 (0x00000003, 0x82BCFA58, 0x82BCFBA4, 0x8A1F6E00)

Small Live Linux: Successful Boot

Parted Magic Linux: Successful Boot

React OS: Successful Boot

On Dell Optiplex 740:

VistaPE: "Windows has had a problem connected to a device connected to your computer"

Small Live Linux: Successful Boot

Parted Magic Linux: Successful Boot

React OS:
"Disk Read Failed" 0x32

I don't know if there is something I am doing wrong when I am building VistaPE. I assume the problem I am having with ReactOS is just incompatibility with my hardware, but the error I get from VistaPE about trouble communicating with a device attached to my computer is a bit odd since I have no external peripherals attached other than mouse, keyboard, and monitor.
