How to change shutdown logo in XP CD and your system
=========================================================================
Hi again by another trick!!!

When you click on Turn off Computer in start menu,the system shows an
small window by some buttons.

You can customize this window and place it in your XP CD ,or use in
your system.

The process of changing Shutdown window:
========================================

1_ Copy file "msgina.dll" frome your system32 directory to C:\.

2_ Open This file by resource hacker (or other your favorite resorce
program),and Change BMP images on it.Normally just changing BMPs
number 20142 and 20143 (if you use res hack) is enough for this
tutor.of course you can change other pictures too,but they are for
other sections than our tutor.

=========================================================================
Putting modified msgina.dll in XP CD
=========================================================================

** you need modifype.exe for this part of tutor,if you do not have it you
can download from attachment.

1_ Put modifype.exe inside your system32 directory.

2_ Go to command prompt (start/cmd enter) and type :
modifype.exe c:\msgina.dll -c
press enter,if you have done every thing OK ,command will say:
No Error occurred,have a nice day

3_ Now type command below and press enter:
makecab c:\msgina.dll

by this command,the system will make file MSGINA.DL_ in address below:

Documents and Settings\Administrator\

of course if the user name is for example xxxx, the fill will be produced in:
Documents and Settings\xxxx\

4_ Now you can change this file (MSGINA.DL_) by the one in the I386 directory
of your XP CD.

=========================================================================
Using Modified file in your installed system
=========================================================================

May be the easyest way is to boot with LIVE XP then copy msginadll to:

1st ...\WINDOWS\system32\dllcache directory

2nd ...\WINDOWS\system32 directory

then restart.

=========================================================================
NOTES:
1_ I try to tell you things that i have tested several times.But always
back up first then do.

2_This file is one of sensetive files of windows XP,you can not change or
delete that inside windows,even you can change it,the system automatically
will change it back to original.so do as above for changing it.

3_ Do not change the resolotion of BMP images,i mean for example if the BMP
image inside this file is 256 color,just use bmp 256 color or less.and also
use the same size picture.

4_ If you do not do as above your system will restart,So if you made mistake
and had problem of restarting system,boot by LIVE XP and copy backed up file
to dllcache directory and system32 directory.every thing will get OK.

===========================================================================
you can see my file's wiew in bellow (attachment).

Of course you can change some other things in this file as you will see in
my picture.

have nice days
