Forum still has issues

EDIT: New problem! Actually it's happened before but not recently, forum in 'collapsed view' with only links shown below first post (don't like this view even when it 'works') is not working; clicking on any link only takes you back to first post again so you can't see any responses! This is why I'm editing the first post (only one you can see). Only 238 users online doesn't seem to be the issue. Don't mean to be negitive, I know you're trying your best; just wish there was something I could do to help. Thanks for all you do to try and make it better!
Interesting, Just cleared all my cookies, dl files and history and problem gone! Apparently this has to do with something stored on local PC. (You may have told me this last time it happened , sorry)

I think that it is only working for those topics to which you replied before the forum upgrade.
Hope to get some time to look into this matter over the weekend.

Have you received this message on your email box?
Really hope so!

Maybe it's even a flaw in the board software itself. But when i click on 'new posts' and there arn't any, i can not even get to the page to choose the period for which i like to see the new posts.
It's sometimes real inconvenient to have to wait for a new post, to be able to find a thread that was 'new' yesterday.

Really hope so!
Thanks for trying though...
(just cleared and reset my browser and board settings, I'll post if this results in positive change)

This is the tutorial I followed to no avail:
http://forums.invisi...Em-t131538.html
It was working fine before I wonder why it won't work now?

Nuno, that tutorial is for changing everyone's default setting to email notification but this is a different issue. My email settings are already setup for immediate notification and yet this function seems to be broken now (since the upgrade). I will see if I can access any support site for this issue and keep you postedThat's too bad to hear.

Unfortunately, no joy here I even went in and manually set some topics to instant notification, nothing. So, appologies to those people I don't respond to for awhile (or not at all); I don't always remember every topic I've posted in but it doesn't mean I don't like youJust received a dosage of forum replies on my mailbox!

So now that it works. Can you turn it off by default for me again?

Yes, of course.
I'll start a new topic once this is solved so that members who don't like instant notification can get it disabled permanently.

Amalux, sorry to hear about that. Still have no clues why it is working for some members and not for others.

The font size seems to be smaller than before. But that may be my personal incorrect opinion
EDIT:
My Firefox switched Bootland's allowance for scripts off.

Hi Nuno, I found the problem! For no good reason, my Yahoo! mail (which I don't like but I'm stuck with for now) has flagged Boot-Land as an 'auto-generated spam server' and now blocks all of my incoming email notifications. This is controlled by Yahoo!, I have no way of changing the status to 'not spam' or even to set boot-land's server as allowed; my only option at this point is to receive ALL spam along with boot-land notifications. This was not the case in the past (before the upgrade) but I am at a loss how to remedy the situation. I will try sending a report of this issue to Yahoo! but will not 'hold my breath' for a response. Thank you for all your time and effort to de-bug this annoyance which was never yours to resolve and I am sorry (on Yahoo!'s part) for the inconvenienceAmalux, sorry to hear about that. Switch 'allow all spam' at yahoo and use thunderbird as e-mail client.
I use it since some years and I think that the spam detection is very good.
The only disadvantage is that spam is download to your pc before it is deleted.
Peter
BTW: Amalux, how do you always are successful in finding 'impossible' situations?

Nice to read about the reason why your email box wasn't getting updated.
I use the google mail and they do a very good work with spam messages.
To solve this situation I've sent you a gmail invitation that you can use as default recipient for the boot land emails (or any other email you wish).
Gmail can also be configured to be downloaded on thunderbird or outlook if you wish.
Let's hope we can finally declare this "bug" as [solved]..

Thanks for the Gmail invite; I was pleasantly surprised, ATT-Yahoo! got back to me so quickly and helped me setup a special filter just for boot-land. Works great now, I'm even getting notifications from topics I've never posted in or even seen before!Hi Amalux!

I clicked 'reply' in this post and added some words:
My screen was:

[/quote] This is just a forum's software test. Peter
and the system did not accept because of different open / cdlose quotes.
