Working capacity.
During wb process of building LiveXP the computer has got stuck with the dark blue screen, the reason was overheating because of a stop of the fan.
I have replaced the fan, but after that wb074 partially does not work.
No shortcuts on desktop and in programs.
PEnetwork also not work.
Has made checkdisk and
Tried some times to delete the working directory with wb074 and download on new one with all it components from download center and build new project but with same result.
My system is Win XP SP2 Pro En, my source CD is similar.
My project is LiveXP.
And log file without visible for me errors here:

Looking on your log file, it seems that your screenshot is correct has no apps were included inside your project.
Were they enabled?
---
One other idea is using any other folder or partition just to see how it goes.

Thanks for answer.
Small CDwriter,Notepad, and PENetwork are configured to be on desktop.
Also PENetwork service usually start first, and in my case it is not start at all.
I'll try to move to another partition, since changing folders on C already tried.

In the root of another partition (e:) created new folder and all content from source CD copied on it.
Also in the root of (e:) created another new folder with wb074 and downloaded LiveXP project on it.
Unfortunately after running project I have got same result, no shortcuts on desktop, and in StartMenu.
No visible errors in log file.

How about running winbuilder inside a emulated machine?
You could install XP inside a virtual machine and then run your current winbuilder project to see if the results differ.
I don't know (yet) why this is happening but I'm hoping it gives a few more hints to discover the reason.

We can be certain that it should be something inside your OS.
Let's start from the OS: is it an untouched retail version XP or have you modified it? (with nLite for example)
Also other possible reasons:
- - disable the Antivirus
- - ensure you're running as Administrator and that you have full ownership permissions of the winbuilder folder
I'm also giving these suggestions as I don't have any explanation for this behavior. The other day a member reported that winbuilder.exe was crashing on his machine and ended up concluding this was related to his graphic drivers (which left me quite puzzled)
Good luck debugging this annoyance.

Maybe there is something to do with your normal OS that is conflicting with shortcut generation by BuildModel?
Regards,
Galapo.
That can be easily checked:
Download WinBuilder.exe and nativeEx_barebone into an empty directory and start the project.

# Create a new Winbuilder directory and download (not a copy of the existing one!) WinBuilder074 into it
# Go to download tab
# Disable all servers besides nativeex.boot-land.net
# Disable all projects besides nativeEx_barebone and download it
# Don't worry about duplicated, empty entries in the tree
# Define the path to your source CD and build the project by using the blue 'Play'
# Follow the instruction to finish and restart WinBuilder
# Build again by using the blue 'Play'
That should end with a PE boot into qEmu
Too much errors in log.
As far as I can understand, project wants to work with non existing folder
E:\WBuilder45721674
My system is XP SP2 EN PRO not nlited.
I have administrator rights.
Antivirus disabled.
something to do with your normal OS
Yes I found something! Attribute of folder is read only!
I can change attribute as I am Admin but it returns back to read only.
Where can I remove read only attribute for all my folders ?
May be in google -))

* ensure you're running as Administrator and that you have full ownership permissions of the winbuilder folder
I would try something like this:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308421
http://www.winxptuto...m/ownership.htm

But I have found out, that it is normal for WinXP folder, looks with read-only checkbox gray.
As in my pic.
Just never have a look to folder options before -))
So I have full permission on all my hd disks, partitions, folders and subfolders,
I can create and delete everything on them but I can't create normal working ISO
with winbuilder yet -))

Here again is the Retrieve Bug working, which I already reported here and in bug ID #32.

'WinBuilder074' is replaced by 'WBuilder45721674'.[Success] Retrieve - Sucessfully retrieved the file size from: [%BaseDir%\Projects\Tools\7za.exe] to variable: [0] with result: [457216]
[Ignore] IF - [457216] is not equal to: [457216] evaluated string: [If,%size%,NotEqual,#3,If,ExistFile,#2\#1,FileDelete,#2\#1]
[Success] IF - File does not exist: [E:\WBuilder45721674\Projects\Tools\7za.exe] executing command: [WebGet,%Server%/%Dir%/#1,#2\#1]
[Failed] WebGet - Failed to download file: [http://www.nativeex..../Tools/7za.exe] to directory: [E:\WBuilder45721674\Projects\Tools\7za.exe]
@by_rom:
As a temporary solution, try to use the folder E:\WinBuilder74.

Thanks for the debugging Peter, excellent work.
[Variables] %exedir%=%ProjectTemp%\regCompact %exe%=regCompact.exe %orisiz%=0 %newsiz%=0
On the case you posted earlier, would it be solved if you used "0000" instead of a simple "0"?
Not the ideal behavior but might be a possible workaround for 074 and previous versions.

Confirm, that after renaming folder to WinBuilder74 both projects works as expected in any partitions.
