Dear all,

I use winbuilder to create VistaPE iso. Then I merged ERD commander 2005, Acronis Home 11, Paragon partition 9, etc into the ISO. I tested it under VMware, very one works perfect. Then I copied everything into my flash drive. (I have formated my flash drive to FAT 32 by hpusbfw.exe and installed MBR by GrubGUI.) Everything works fine except ERD commander 2005.

It always give me following error:

NTDETECT failed.

I don't understand why it works in virtual machine but failed with USB?

I copied ERD commander to the root of the USB. The setting in Grub4dos is:

title ERD Commander 2005
chainloader /setupldr.bin

Could anyone give me some hints why it failed in real machine but works in Virtual machine?

Thanks in advance.

Missing/not loading properly USB drivers?

No, that would produce a 0x0000007b error.

Most probably you are using \I386 in the .iso, this won't work with a disk (hd or floppy-like) based approach, you need to have \minint or use this trick:

(but that should produce a "cannot find TXTSETUP.SIF error)

So, most probably besides the above, you need a modified NTDETECT.COM:
