I created the default xplive boot cd, no special options but seem to be having a minor problem with it. The default resolution is not supported by my monitor, i can see the desktop while its loading but then it clicks off as it changes resolution and my monitor pops up a message, Input Mode Not Supported. (monitor is an ACER AL1916W widescreen lcd) . Is there any way of changing the desktop screen mode or resolutions?

Regards,
Rodent

Hi Rodent,

Have a look at the 'SetResolution' script under 'Tweaks' and either 1) entering a resolution; or 2) disabling the script. Resolution if not being configured with SetResolution can also be altered in the 'Display Properties' script.

Galapo.

Thanks for that, managed to force a resolution of 1024x768 which works, pitty it doesn't support my native resolution of 1440x900.

Try 1280x800 and 1280x768. One of these my monitor defaults to even with the vga save device, so i think you should be able to get above 1024x768.

Galapo.
