I've just had to install the TSM API into VistaPE (just the API not the full BAClient). To do this I just had to put these files into System32:
apienu.dll
dscenu.txt
dsmntapi.dll
tsmapi.dll
tsmLvsaMsg.dll
tsmutil1.dll
The were sourced from Tivoli client 5.4.1.0 - this is the 1st version that works with Vista. I also had to add the following line to dsm.opt:
encryptiontype des56
otherwise it complains it can't find the location of the ICC encryption library when you first use the API.
Hope this helps a little.

I have a working plugin for TSM 5.5 by now.
I'll post it in a few days after tydiing it up.
Basically it requires two plugins by Max_Real_Qnx and that's it.
See you soon.

i need testers for my first published plugin.
you need these plugins (VistaPE Patch, ComBo_Box) from http://maxrealqnx.boot-land.net/
default setting is fine
You can use encryption AES. Change NODENAME and TSPSERVERADDRESS. Choose Version, Release and Level of ITSM. Client is downloaded from IBM ftp server.
Now it can be only in RAM. Size is arounf 40MB.
I am planing to add "edit dms.opt" file, start CUI, GUI and ADMIN MODE from start menu. Use upx for binnaries.
Do you have some more tips?
known bugs:
ANS1948E - VSS does not exist
ANS4005E Error processing 'X:\': file not found - no idea what does it mean
Thank you Filip
PS:
VistaPE Patch - Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable
ComBo_Box - RunOnceEx

i updated it script.
Now you can use:
- encryption AES
- backup/restore files
- backup/restore image
- archive/retrieve
- define nodename, tsm server and version od ITSM BA client before building image
- edit dsm.opt from start menu
- run CUI, GUI, admin CUI from start menu
Facts:
- size is around 17MB (previous 40 MB)
- it needs scripts VistaPE Patch, ComBo_Box from http://maxrealqnx.boot-land.net/
Bugs and limitation:
- error with VSS - it is now included in VistaPE (you don't need it)
- it is not possible to run not from RAM (not tested - but i am sure it cann't run)
I will be glad to get some improvements and tips for this script.
Thank you

can you please write which part of ComBo_Box is needed?
And will the whole script work with the c't Edition? Is the VistaPE Patch compatible with the c't Edition?
Thank you
Andreas

you can let default setting of the plugins.
You need "VistaPE Patch" (SidebySide 2008 v.1 For VistaPE) and ComBo_Box (RunOnceEx v.8 For VistaPE).
hope this help

thank you. I was able to use the TSMI-Script with Winbuilder as described. Is it possible to change the Tivoli Node Name after the build?

Andreas
hi,
of course. you have to edit dsm.opt. add option: NODENAME YOURNODE and start new TSM GUI/CUI ;o)

Edit: I get that, when using either VistaPE Patch or ComBo_Box or when using both.
I use WinBuilder 0.76 on XP Pro with SP3.
Another Edit: Ok, it is a problem with ComBo_Box as i deleted all files and redownloaded the VistaPE Environment and only tested the VistaPE Patch.

With VistaPE for WAIK you can create amd64 image as well
Support TSM client 5.5 and higher. Needs internet connection.

Script doesn't work for me. I manually added "%Type%=x86" (without the quote) and it seems it isn't able to download the files or extract them. Atleast it always complains that it wasn't able to copy the gsk7 folder and it doesn't show that it tries to download the setup.
Sorry I forgot my customization. I will upload my whole project. Sorry again.
Edit: I cannot access to my building computer now. I will access to computer in 6 hours. Functions is taken pro pe21 project. You can find it in download section in winbuilder. Or wait.

I just got my notebook / laptop repaired (i even had to reinstall IE). I am going to test your new script soon.
Edit: Seems to be that the x64 (AMD64) integration went fine. It even told me, that x64 is not for x86 when booting the VistaPE CD (x86) and trying to execute dsm.exe (though it has shown it only, when i tried to execute the file in its folder, but not using your link in the start menu). Atm I am testing it using x86 as architecture.
Edit: Ok, x86 is being downloaded but it fails to extract it.

It sound strange. I will test my self with WAIK project.

If it matters, I am not using WAIK, I am using the Vista DVD with SP2 integrated.
SP2 is not supported in any way. And you cannot create amd64 image.
