However, I looked in that temp directory and it is there.
When I hit grub and chose my flash drive in the first drop down and say install, it says "bad partition table"

charlestek in Grub4Dos window after you pick (Device Name - Disk)
go to Part List hit refresh, click arrow on text box and Part List will now be there
take your pick and install
Thanks dera that did fix a error and now lets me format the drive from script window.
I use to just close both information error messages and install, worked if usb was formated before.
Be VERY CAREFULL of DEVICE you FORMAT
Have a nice day

I forgot to say that even though I got the two errors the usb drive still booted my computer ok into VistaPE.
I will make the script changes and try it.

With : Winbuilder 076 + VistaPE 12Rc1 ...
I tried to make a bootable USB.
I had the same error with the HPUSBFW.exe file as charlestek had. So, i modified "the 01-iso-cd-usb.script' script as dera said. Now, it works fine. I always use NTFS file system for my USB flashdrive.
So, now, it works but i'm really suprised by the fact that booting form the USB stick is very very slow. As an example, i can say that :
--> it's 2 (or 3) times slower booting from an USB flashdrive than doing it from a normal CD drive.
In each try, CD or USB, i use the same Winbuilder config : "Multiboot" uses GRUB as bootmanager...
I also tried to use several USB Flash drive : OCZ Rally2, by example, is known to be a good USB flash drive.
The test PC for booting with VistaPE have 2Go of RAM.
So, my question is :
I believed that booting from USB should be faster than doing it from a CD.
Is this normal that booting from an USB flash drive is very very slow, so much slower than booting from a CD ?
Thanks for reply and/or help.

OK. My test PC is an old AMD 4200+ with a DFI nf4-Ultra-D motherboard.
Very slow booting from USB is normal on some systems. Some BIOSes, especailly older ones, set the USB bus to version 1.1 when booting. With a BIOS like that it takes forever to load the RAMDisk image from the flash drive. The rest of the boot is very fast. Which is not a big help.
Maybe there are problems with booting using USB 2.0 speed, as you said.
I'll try to test with my new PC.
Thanks for reply.
