Hi,

As you may have noticed, the forums have been modified to work along with mkPortal.

I hope now everything is working as supposed, meaning that all users can enjoy more features from this implementation.

.script developers and advanced users also have more features enabled on the blog, image gallery and download area from this portal.

I hope everyone likes this.. :P

I'll remove the blog from wordpress and the old download section since they aren't working so well..

Will if it can be done, mikorist probably used FURL to make friendly URL's and this requires to be run on an apache web server - don't know if boot-land.net host's supports it.

Will check.. :P

I just submitted it to dmoz:

Category: Computers: Software: Operating Systems: Microsoft Windows: Windows XP: Chats and Forums
Title of Site: Bootland Forum - Everything about booting
Site Description:This is a forum for the technically minded and curious people interested in different booting methods for PC's. It is the home of Winbuilder, a program that let's you make minimal "live", i.e. running from CD or RAM, versions of XP for recovery or security use.

I just submitted it to dmoz:

Thanks jaclaz!

I've added the FURL mod created by kim - I'm using the updated version since I've somewhere that the older one gave too many issues.

I know understand that google bots often get stuck on the main index page because they don't follow dynamic pages from invision forums. Adding this modification will start making simple html pages allowing them to be processed by google search engine.

Not sure if it will work, but it's added anyways..

@Nuno : Can you change the main anouncement in the portal to show the latest version of WinBuilder and the current projects?

How can I delete an image uploaded. I found out how. You have to upload something first to get the option. lol!

How can I add an icons section.

I like it. Easy to upload images now. More members can upload images.

@Nuno: The new style of the forums is super but can you fix the "last_blog_post" , "last_downloads" and the "poll" on the left panel?

I'll remove the poll since it's not used for anything, the download is empty for the moment, but I'll be using it in the future to replace the current download system..

As for blog, it would be usefull if more people joined and used it, but since it may take a while to see more "bloggers" I'll remove it as well. :P

No i don't mean the panels but the header of the panels. For example "last_blog_post" should be "Last Blog"

Still a few rough points: now it's harder to get on the PM's window and I've abandoned the old download system to use this new one that comes integrated with the portal. I'll try to fix those.

Time to fill the download area with the development files.. :P

I have just seen the Winbuilder download.

Can you also add the older versions? I say this because recently i needed to get a script from version 048 and i had to search in www.boot-land.net/openbuilder ...

Edit: I hope i'm not asking many things but i think that these things are realy usefull for boot-land.net :P

I don't think you're asking too many things.. Often it's the sort of stuff that really makes things look better and easier to handle in the future - and this is always worth the effort.

Thanks for these suggestions, do keep them coming! :P
