hey,
in root directory there is a empty file named "boot" that i want to rename. i cannot get rid of it since it is needed during booting. the reason i want to rename it is that ubcd (dos utilities) has a folder with the same name, and i can't put them both in the same root directory (for my multiboot cd) as long as they have the same name. In which file/files is this "boot" reference hiden so as to rename it?

i noticed that:
-it is not in bootloader.
-there are numerous references in SETUPLDR.BIN but.... i am not sure which of them should be changed.
- also 1 reference in TXTSETUP.SIF

any suggestion?

One 'friend' of this entry is in txtsetup.sif, nearly on top.
I think it is the ony important one. Try to change. (good luck)

@Nuno, @Jaclaz!
What about giving me the suggested 'Guru' title?
Since one year, seventeen days and I do not know how many hours, minutes and seconds I'm fighting for this title!

A rather disappointed member!

You may also notice that "Searcher" is a real "low-level" title, I hope to be able in the near future to be promoted to "Finder" :yahoo:

i have the answers...

for psc the higher title he can achieve is "dalai lama" or "pclai lama" or "terrabite lama" or sth similar.

for jaclaz sth like "marko polo" could be the utmost climax of his searcher career.
