Downloaded the latest NativeEx Project and tried to build. When you look at the layout you will see that the RAMdrive Script is not selected by default.

I tried to run the Project to see what would happen. I get the following as things are being processed.

I activated it and when first going into the RAmdrive script I get the following error.

So I let it run all the way clicking on the OK button almost all the way thru.
Log:Attached File  log.zip   17.23KB   169 downloads

:1st:
Couldnt veryfy scipts check to see if the core is present. If not tell the user to download it.

Thanks for the pointer. Youre right I forgot to download the core.

Redownloaded and updated all the core and the project. This time RamDrive is active and ImDisk is active also.

  • By regedit, check whether under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE there is a key like "WB- ???" or "Tmp- ???"
    If yes, remove it.
    Valid keys:
    • HARDWARE
    • SAM
    • SECURITY
    • SOFTWARE
    • SYSTEM
  • Before rebuild, manually delete the folder "%BaseDir%\Workbench\nativeEx_barebone\Cache\Prebuild"

New test with Winbuilder 72 Final.
Download everything from scratch.
Ran the creation of NativeEx.
I received this message:

Obsolete: \Projects\nativeEx_barebone\Tools\ReOpen.Link (Renamed and moved)

After that It keeps processing and gives a small popup error. I forgot the message.

Explorer shell still has the Administrative Tools and Fonts folders without incons under the control panel.

Another thing I noticed is that ImDisk is the Ramdisk, that is good. But there is a resShort.exe left behind and can still launch it. Can it be deleted ones the process is done using it.

I tried the same: No issues. Maybe there was an old, undeleted ReOpen.Link in your system.
(That's not an error message, just a hint that there has been an older version)

Fixed in the latest Copy&Expand script at the nativeEx server
Thanks Garfield! :yahoo:

Manually starting resShort again, is harmless.
To delete it I would need an additional 'Cleanup' batch at the very end of the boot process. I'm thinking about that.
