Hi, I have tried Tftpd32 on Vista but cannot get it to work properly.

I'm trying to copy config from Cisco router to PC.

On the PC, the Tftpd32 GUI shows that it is receiving a file, a file is written but the content is empty, file size 0.

On the router, it says fail access failed.

Sad to say it's working perfectly fine on XP. Has anyone else tried Tftpd32 on Vista ?

Regards.

Since release 3.20, Tftpd32 is tested under Vista.

You may have troubles with Vista's authorizations:
  • Tftpd32 should have administrator privileges to use TFTP/DHCP/Syslog/NTP ports
  • Vista's internal firewall should be opened for Tftpd32

On the PC, the Tftpd32 GUI shows that it is receiving a file, a file is written but the content is empty, file size 0.

Since the file is created, the administrator privilege is granted, possibly the firewall is still blocking Tftpd32's replies.

Hi, I have figured out how to make it work.

Have create an exception in windows firewall for tftpd32.exe AND also an exception for UDP/69.

Thanks for the support.
