What file exactly is giving the false positive ?

VHD_WIMBOOT is OK for Microsoft Windows Defender  :)

VHD_WIMBOOT is OK for Microsoft Windows Defender  :)

It blocks the download, unless the AV is desactivated, of course I know it is a false positive.

@ wimb

Thanks for new version.

I found today on both programs v44 menu.lst a (0xff) omission, and it is also present on both v45.

On menu.lst this iftitle says:

iftitle [if exist (hd0,0)/grubfm_multiarch.iso] Grub2 File Manager of a1ive - (hd0,0)/grubfm_multiarch.iso
map --mem (hd0,0)/grubfm_multiarch.iso
map --hook
chainloader (0xff)

And should say:

iftitle [if exist (hd0,0)/grubfm_multiarch.iso] Grub2 File Manager of a1ive - (hd0,0)/grubfm_multiarch.iso
map --mem (hd0,0)/grubfm_multiarch.iso (0xff)
map --hook
chainloader (0xff)

Update USB_FORMAT-47 and UEFI_MULTI-47 plus the Addon-glim-agFM files

- Added a1ive Grub2 Boot Manager - Update of file EFI\Boot\grubx64_real.efi  and Grub2 system in EFI\grub folder for booting in UEFI mode with Grub2

By removal of Grub2Win and Super UEFIInSecure Grub2 System and adding a1ive Grub2 Boot Manager for booting in MBR BIOS and UEFI Secure mode,

we have now only one improved and better Grub2 System instead of three different Grub2 versions.

Then please explain me why we have 5 diferent options under Grub2 Mgr, I don't clearly understand the meaning of each option.

Thanks in advance.

Then please explain me why we have 5 diferent options under Grub2 Mgr, I don't clearly understand the meaning of each option.

Indeed my statement needs some correction. It should have been:

By removal in the Addon of Grub2Win and Super UEFIInSecure Grub2 System and adding a1ive Grub2 Boot Manager for booting in MBR BIOS and UEFI Secure mode,

we have now only one improved and better Grub2 System in the addon-glim-agFM instead of three different Grub2 versions.

Without using the Addon there is my original Grub2 UEFI Secure support by using Linux Mint files bootx64.efi and grubx64.efi of 15-05-2018

This Mint UEFI option has Grub2 UEFI Secure support for some Linux ISO files only - Linux Mint - Knoppix Live - Ubuntu - Porteus

Since we have UEFI mode and MBR BIOS (=Legacy) mode of booting we can combine these in three different ways for support of booting with Grub2:
1. UEFI mode
2. UEFI + MBR BIOS mode
3. MBR BIOS mode

I think this explains better why there are the following 5 options available:
Program Settings to Add Grub2 Manager: "Mint   UEFI  |  Super UEFI  |  Mint + MBR  |  Sup + MBR  |  MBR  Only"

The MBR BIOS mode involves Install of a1ive Grub2 in MBR - Addon with a1ive Grub2 Boot Manager is required
The Super UEFI setting uses Super UEFI shim combined with ailive Grub2 Boot Manager - Addon with a1ive Grub2 Boot Manager is required
The Sup + MBR setting is Super UEFI + MBR
The Mint + MBR setting is Linux Mint UEFI + MBR
