I have to say, I was worried with the last outage, seemed to last a good portion of last week.

Hope all is OK with the site. Glad to see it back up.

Hello, sorry!

I was away on travel and my phone number changed, Erwan had difficulty to reach me.

We are back!

It's alive!!!

As the reboot.pro forum is online again, we can only hope that now someone can stop the annoying (to say the least) "my issue got solved" recent spamming topics. There are already too many, and since they have been "successful", there will be more to come.

I am also glad the recess is over. BTW, either the site got smoother or my OS got faster, because I notice an improvement in going from one page to another.

This seems to be a recurring event that happens every so often. So it is either:

1. Some lowlife fuckers keep hacking reboot.pro

Or

2. Whoever is managing the forum software/server doesn't know what they're doing

@Nuno: Are you self-hosting? I think you said something to that effect awhile back. Who is in charge of routine maintenance? Dismiss/replace them and get yourself some real, reliable hosting, complete with a plan that offers hack detection/prevention.

Or maybe it's something to do with the forum software? If so replace it.

This happens like clockwork here every few months, and it will keep happening until the owner changes something. I believe in results, and if something isn't working, then there must be change, no excuses.

Hello,

It is a rented server. Nothing changing, just that the server invoices need to be renewed every two months.

And I was away the whole week as well enjoying some high temperatures in Atlanta, GA and was warned by a gentle reboot.pro member (Thanks Wimb!).

Usually, the outage is very short (I recieve alerts and deal with it either myself if technical or with Nuno if about invoices) but this one was longer indeed.

Happy to see positive messages from every one out there.

Keep posting guys, sharing knowledge, news, ideas, etc.

Make this forum a lighthouse at night :)

About the server/software itself : although old, it is rather stable nowadays but does require some regular maintenance (dont we all ...?).

It might an idea to review some of the forum settings :

-reputation system

-spam prevention

-warning and moderation

etc

These are only tools (i.e no miracles to expect) but they may help fighting against spammers.

In the meantime, dont hesitate to report spammers.

I just processed about 20 reports and banned (and deleted associated posts to keep the forum clean) as many users a few mns ago.
