Hello PE-Friends
For the win_10 PE (PE5) there is a new "Power-Toy" developed by Misty: "MistyPE"
Kudos and thanks to you Misty!
MistyPE uses "BBLean" as shell and "Launchbar" Program to create a "Start Menu".
Launchbar displays links that it finds in the "Quick Launch" folder of the systemprofile.
Subfolders of "Quick Launch" appear as sub-menues.

As before PE-Links supports you in extending / customizing your boot menu by placing links
in "Quick Launch" as well as in "Start Menu" of explorer shell.
  Attached File  PE-Links_171117.jpg   202.95KB   1 downloads

Download:   http://reboot.pro/fi...e/282-pe-links/

Getting started:

Choose your Custom PE-Root-Directory by [PE-ROOT] button.

"PE-Links" has also a SendTo-Option to open "PE-Root" directories.
Syntax: PE-Links.exe [Folder] [Option]

"PE-Root" directory must have content as follows, to be recognized by the script:
    %PE-Root%\Program Files
Once chosen, you can easily access "Program Files", "Program Files (x86)", "Windows", "Start Menu" etc.

The program will remember chosen "PE-Root" directories.

Available locations to store Links:

    PE-Builds using User-Profile:   "MS-Explorer / EmergeDesktop"
        Desktop                    [X:\Users\Default\Desktop]
        SendTo-User             [X:\Users\Default\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo]
        Startmenu                 [X:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs]
        Links                     [X:\Users\Default\Links]
        Administrative Tools     [X:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Administrative Tools]
    PE-Builds using Systemprofile:  "BS-Explorer / Launchbar"
        SendTo                     [X:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo]                      (BS-Explorer)
        Quick Launch            [X:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch]      (BS-Explorer / Launchbar)

If "PE-Root" directory is valid,
    - choose the "Major-Directory" (eg "Program Files") by the combo.
Note: "Major-Directory" is one of these:
            \Program Files
            \Program Files (x86)
    - select a Sub-Folder inside %Major-Directory% (eg "7-Zip") by [Select]-Directory button.
    - select a file inside the "Sub-Folder" (eg "7zFM.exe") by [Select]-File button.
    - select a custom icon for the selected file (eg "myIcon.ico") by [Select]-Icon button.
Note:    The icon-file must be placed inside a "Major-Directory" of "PE-Root" (eg "\Program Files").
This is due to the use of System-Variables %WINDIR% %PROGRAMFILES% %PROGRAMFILES(x86)% and %USERPROFILE%.
                To get around this:
                    - mount the "PE-Root" to X:
                    - tick [Use Absolute Path]
                    - create links that point to absolute path.
                    - use icons from somewhere on the (mounted) X: drive.
                    - this way you can repair broken links.
    - tick the locations for the links to create.
    - push the button [CREATE PE-LINKS]

Open link locations directly by respective buttons.

For servicing the "PE-Root" use [PE Environment] to open specified folders.

To check a created Link use [File] / [Load Shortcut to Array] and see details.

            Create a Folder  "Make_PE3\PE3_mod\PE3_add\x86\Program Files\Notepad2"
            Copy Notepad2.exe to created Folder
            Send "Make_PE3\PE3_mod\PE3_add\x86" to PE-Links.exe
        in PE-Links-GUI:
set Directory: [Program Files] from Combo
            [Select] Notepad2         folder
            [Select] Notepad2.exe     file
            set Link-Name, Parameter, Icon (Optional)
check Places to store your Links (on Desktop, in Programs, etc.)
press [Create PE-Link] to do the job.

Have fun customizing your PE-System.

Regards T.

Dear friends of the PE project
    - extended creation of links for any PE-Environment.
    - creating Links is not limited to PE-Folders.
    - provide parameters and icon for custom links to any file.
