Hello! I've been reading online about some of the methods used to disable updates on Windows 10 Pro and Enterprise. From what I have found, the only way to disable updates is to disable the service wuauserv. Sometimes, however, updates get through even with this service disabled.
The other option would be to open gpedit.msc, and Configure automatic updates, and set it to Notify for download and notify for install. But that doesn't disable them, it just delays. This is not ideal because updates may just install themselves anyway.
Has anyone tried these and can confirm they are working?
What about other ways to disable updates? erd party software, etc?
I'm basically looking for the same option that existed in windows 7 (never check for updates).
Thank you!
