A new thingy, IMDISK based or derived:

This application simply allocates a memory buffer inside GPU RAM and use it as virtual ram disk. The project is made possible by ImDisk and its proxy feature.

Using GPU RAM isn't as fast as host main memory, however it is still faster than a regular HDD.

Maybe useful, maybe not, however interesting. :)

If only video cards had more Ram. Very cool though.

Maybe use this

"Nvidia Tesla K80 24GB GDDR5 CUDA"

Price: $3,450.00 + $13.90 shipping

https://www.amazon.c...c/dp/B00Q7O7PQA

This might be useful when video cards have more ram.

@TheHive: Holy shit, that's the card I need for my new gaming rig, no game's the limit when you have 24GB VRAM! Too bad it costs a small fortune, for $3450 I could make a down payment on a car or house.
