About AIO Boot

Create a bootable USB drive or HDD with Grub2 or Clover, and integrate multiple support packages, with this minimalistic utility
AIO Boot is a handy utility that enables you to create a bootable USB or disk drive with Grub2, Clover or Syslinux in a few simple steps. Additionally, it allows you to boot via LAN with Tiny PXE Server and iPXE, as well as integrate multiple operating systems or support programs.

All in all, AIO Boot is a useful application that enables you to create bootable USB drives, hard drives or even memory cards using Grub2, Clover or Syslinux. It features a minimalistic UI with neatly organized options.

Features
  • For Legacy-MBR: Grub2, Grub4dos, Syslinux and Clover [Legacy].
  • For UEFI-GPT: Grub2, Clover [UEFI] and rEFInd.
  • UEFI-GPT and MBR-Legacy.
  • Supports boot into Legacy mode for the hard disk in GPT style.
  • USB and HDD with FAT32/NTFS/exFAT format.
  • Boot via LAN with Tiny PXE Server.
  • One or multiple partitions, AIO Boot also supports hidden partition.
  • Support hotkeys for Grub2. At the main menu, if you want to boot into a certain menu, simply press their hot key. For example, to restart your computer, you simply press the "r" or "o" to shutdown.
  • Supports multiple languages, including Vietnamese, English, Russian and French...
  • Multiple sets of Windows setup files- XP, 2000, 2003, Vista, WIndows 7, Server 2008, Windows 8, Server 2012, both 32 and 64 bit versions are supported. Both BIOS and (U)EFI mode are supported.
  • Support to restore the Windows bootloader for both Legacy and UEFI mode.
  • Supports installing Windows 7 on a USB 3.0 port. This will help you resolve the error: A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now.
  • Support to integrate the following Package: Windows, Linux, Antivirus, DOS Programs, Android, Backup & Recovery, Disk Tools
  • Support to edit and delete the MENU (except for Windows packages).
  • Automatically identifies the DOS program to integrate.
  • Bypass the Secure Boot on the UEFI mode via Shimx64.efi (need tester). If your computer has a Secure Boot section, turn it on, then boot /EFI/Boot/shimx64.efi.

Download

Once you have downloaded the application, you need to select the drive where the necessary files should be extracted. This should be the bootable USB or HDD you wish to create.

It's a bit different now that testing the tool how and what it's made for than my own build. Curious how much research you've done for the bootloaders which is really impressive work.

@genetix: Thanks.

Using partitioning tools to create multiple partitions (BOOTICE in Windows and GParted in Linux are tools I use often).

Arch Linux 2017 does not include the i686 architecture. I will have an update soon. Go to Settings, select No need to verify the file and save, then you can integrate Arch Linux.

@vigipirate:

Go to Disk Management, right click on K: drive and select Change Drive Letter and Paths to remove it.

---

This error occurs when the drive is listed but no device is attached. I will try to fix this in later versions.

Thanks!

@nguyentu

Dunno what you wrote the soft with, but working here on my own similar project as I told ya. Anyway, just finished the VolumeID and boot sector (MBR, PBR) code (I dislike using 3rd party tools so wrote my own 'rawrite' with C#.NET) and I have all the media databases configured now (unlike this project my engine exports original -> minimize the media size) currently writing the EFI section where it seems you have pretty damn nice understanding over it, so,

Have you found anything that could memory map an iso9660 image when booted from (U)EFI ?

Any experience of 'memmap' command from EFIShell ?

(I've tested Grub 2, Clover and hmm, lilo-efi and I think all of them which you use too, but never found a single thing capable of mapping image to memory unless we count Windows bootmgr with WIM format.)

-EDIT-

notes: yeah, I know I can mount an iso9660 and then load kernel and initrd probably easiest would be grub 2, but looking now to actually mapping image to memory, so, media where it's mapped from can be removed.

I do not know about what you are looking for. I only use the modules that Grub2 provides, learning how to use them rather than how to write them out. I think reading their source code would be helpful.

Grub2 can mount iso9660, ElTorito, FAT32 img file... uses the loopback command. That's all I know about mounting ISO. Assuming on Windows, we mount an ISO to the drive. And read its files and then unmount. Grub2 probably works as well.

---
I don't know anything about the memmap command in UEFI Shell.

Yep, Grub 2 can map, load kernel and initrd, but not ISO to memory. It will with:

insmods:
- scsi, ata, pata, loopback, normal, gzio, iso9660, fat, ntfs, part_msdos

loopback CD (hdX,msdosX)/iso/file.iso
set root='CD'
chainloader +1
boot

Will pop an invalid partition error while, yeah:

linux (CD)/kernel.efi
initrd (CD)/initrd.gz

That can again be loaded from mapped disk.

What I'm looking for is any EFI based bootloader or tool that can map iso file to memory so media where the iso file residents can be removed while content of iso file could still be used (specially useful when doing forensics or cleaning up).

AIO Boot v0.9.4.2 (08/04/2017):

  • Supports resident mode for Remix OS, Phoenix OS and Android-x86. Available 2/3/4/8/16 and 32GB depending on the partition's free space and format. The speed of the OS depends on the read and write speed of the hard drive. If your USB read and write speed is too slow, do not use this feature.
  • Updated to the latest iPXE build.
  • Some bugs found in the previous version have been fixed.

**AIO Boot v0.9.4.4 (12/04/2017):**

- Since v0.9.4.1, there are some changes in the integration method that make the fragmentation rate high. If you integrate multiple Windows Setup packages, the last integrated package will probably not work. This issue has been fixed in this version. Thanks a user for reporting this issue.
- Added supports Trend Micro Rescue Disk. You need to use 7-Zip or WinRAR to open the EXE file and get the Gemini.iso file.
- Fixed a bug related to Partition Image Creator.
- Fixed a bug that did not display the progress bar correctly. It only happens on NTFS partitions.
- Fixed some other bugs.

**AIO Boot v0.9.4.5 (14/04/2017):**

- Added support for Windows VHD XP/7/8.1/10. Does not support UEFI mode.
- Added support for 2GB and 3GB for Ubuntu persistent mode.
- Added support for **Slackware Live Edition**, **wifislax64-1.0** and persistent mode. Persistent mode only supports FAT32.
- Added persistent mode for Wifislax 4.12 (FAT32 and NTFS support).
- Supports to remove **Windows XP/2003 Setup** packages. You need to re-integrate in case the number of the current partition has been changed. If you update from the old version, you need to delete the following files and then re-integrate them:
    * **/AIO/WS/XPx(?)** directory.
    * The **/AIO/WS/XPx(?).iso** and **/AIO/Menu/XPSetup.lst** files.

an small question, it is possible ( i have try it not at moment, no possible at moment)

to copy the whole iso (without extraction) and use this to boot directly

from/with grub2, because it is many pe/live iso's on the way where don't need to extraction,

boot from this iso/or maybe directly burning on a iso, and this boots.. as a single iso..

without extraction/decompressing as iso.

best regards

Backy

Hi,

Because extraction will support PXE. Some operating systems do not support booting from ISO like Dr.Web, Android...

but some iso's be listed like i think ?

all the others be easy copy in the folder and be started as "boot the iso"

do you know OpenMandriva, there be the iso's :

https://abf.openmand...uct_build_lists

and the build Complete can be testet, they iso's

be bootable and via dd on usb or burning directly in iso

by they are be the same files but in different versions,

they must be in any case booting via iso and not extracting.

for have different iso's/builds by side, 32bit/x64 iso's and stabile32bit/x64 iso's

for have all in one usb,

we are check at moment now the 1082 build of openmandriva

https://forum.openma...ild-1082/1194/2

if you wanna play with , common and have fun ;) Any report's be very well.

best regards

Blacky

your frend in openmandriva it is drakconf and rpmdrake, both it's exist since Mandrake

if you want more, try in the tty drak[tab/tab] . It comes from MandDRAKE/mandriva and

There are many OS that boot directly from the ISO file, I do not know how to get it to work with extracting, or unnecessary to extract.
Bitdefender, Gentoo, Kaspersky, 4MLinux, Acronis, Comodo, Cr OS Linux, Gecko, KDE neon, Manjaro, openSUSE Live DVD... boots directly from ISO.
ISO files larger than 4GB also require extraction on FAT32 partitions such as openSUSE...

I did not succeed with OpenMandriva and Mageia, can you boot them from ISO or extract them?

you can boot from iso.. like i guess.. i have ever only dd the iso with rufus

and it have works, so should boot openmandriva directly from iso.

i quess, it's more useful it add iso's who it is need to extract ..

or let the user decide , with a checkbox,

as example win (also winxp with usb-drivers) so win7 it is possible for extract but

should also in able to boot the iso, Reactos, like i guess also, and iso's where it is on linux,

should all able to boot be, so an checkbox for "[X] use the iso as bootable iso and don't extract" or something..

for the possible to setting up for extended users. so it is maybe able for use different linuxiso's

on one usb-stick and all be iso-bootable and no iso comes in the "preserve" with the others

and all be able for booting as single iso :) .. as suggestion..

i guess the most iso's from Orderingsystems be directly bootable, it must easy only testing..

and i bet, maby works with the reactosboot (so direclty install as headsystem)

it is also bootable and the livecd from reactos also.. therewith can be portable programs

directly copy on the stick and the iso boot the whole.. and if Reactos or Win7pe iso..

the same, the onlineinstaller from opensuse it is a something around 80megabyte it is also a iso,

this should also bootable directly with the iso, so it is not need for burning or every dd on a whole

usb-stick and kill the rest of the space, so can it put / past it to other iso's also.. where it is bootable.

so, openmandriva should be bootable, mageia is is a branch from Mandriva, openmandriva it is

the directly follower of mandriva but only as community, no more commerzial.

Mageia should make a peace and should come to openMandriva back again..

also because OMLx the more modern System now be. But draktools exist in OMLx.

But, what's the problem with extracting?

OpenMandriva and Mageia only work with dd, although the documentation from the homepage shows that it can boot directly from ISO, but it does not. This may only apply to older versions. If you use Rufus to create a USB for Mageia, it will only work on dd mode.

I do not know how to boot WinPE or Windows from ISO that supports UEFI mode. Also, if you use wimboot or memdisk, it will consume a lot of RAM, how could it perform better for computers with less memory?

I do not have much time to experiment more, but it will always be fuller in the future.

the problem with extracting it is, if you have 2 iso's who be most the same will it move mostly in the same folder so have you not

the well possible to hold it apart and therewith well working, as example an openmandriva x64 and an 32.bit and then

the same with other versions.. if you not be strict hold at all apart, works the booting with the different versions of iso not

and it comes in the "preserve" and works not well, like it should.

well, you can maybe try to move TPG, Bero and so in direction to be it is like in the old times, real iso bootable

and well usable on programs who boot iso's, you can write there a issue issues.openmandriva.org

Itchka, Colin Close it is the Chaiman at moment of OMLx but .. bero and TPG be the programmer :\

and they want move omlx to his own way .. hmm... how ever, if you have the short time for writing

a issue because the booting iso, you be highest welcome :)

You can also move the extracted directories, which are also located in their own directories.

would maybe not bad, if the directory's created, from the name of the iso,

so it is also possible use similar iso's like :

OpenMandrivaLx.3.02-B925-PLASMA.x86_64.iso

OpenMandrivaLx.3.02-B1005-PLASMA.x86_64.iso

OpenMandrivaLx.3.00-stabile-PLASMA.x86_64.iso

OpenMandrivaLx.3.00-stabile-PLASMA.i586.iso

Fedora-16-i686-Live-Desktop.iso

Fedora-Server-DVD-x86_64-23.iso

in

OpenMandrivaLx.3.02-B925-PLASMA.x86_64

OpenMandrivaLx.3.02-B1005-PLASMA.x86_64

OpenMandrivaLx.3.00-stabile-PLASMA.x86_64

OpenMandrivaLx.3.00-stabile-PLASMA.i586

Fedora-16-i686-Live-Desktop

Fedora-Server-DVD-x86_64-23

on a 16gig usb..

therewith it is possible for use equal iso's but

100% no mixing up .. if this works

moved by own... naaa not so an well idea, should maked from your

programmed Program and your experience :)

i am only a more extended user.. with an bit html, php css and an bit scripting skills

where have become in the last 20 years.. :)
